The Kingdom's First Four Minutes Online!
Start your Friday filmgoing early!
The Kingdom opens today, and the critics are already lining up to take a whack at it -- it's currently sitting at 48 percent on the Tomatometer -- but the filmmakers are so confident in their movie that they've given the first four minutes to Yahoo! Movies for you to watch right now.
The highly topical thriller, which stars Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, and Jason Bateman as a team of federal agents sent to Saudi Arabia to investigate a bombing, has mounted an all-out online charm offensive leading up to its release; not only is Yahoo! Movies offering the first four minutes, but you can also see three clips from the movie, as well as a behind-the-scenes exclusive with director Peter Berg. It's all free, so what are you waiting for? Go check 'em out!

FrankTheTank writes: on Sep 30 2007 12:31 PM I think the movie looks pretty damn good. Berg is a solid filmmaker, Foxx, Cooper, Bateman, and Garner are all worthy of the praise they get. Plus, the first four minutes are kick ***. (Reply to this) |

clamman27 writes: on Sep 30 2007 04:00 PM Any trailer that starts with the cliched,"An elite fill in the blank team" makes me go bleck. Berg IS a good filmmaker. This just doesn't strike me as a good film. And the first four minutes go a long way at proving that. Feels like been there, done that. (Reply to this) |

In other words... No, we're not confident, not confident at all. Our marketing people have looked at the advance data and not only is this movie not that great, but also not that many people are really all that interested in going to see it. So we're going to show you a bit and HOPE TO GOD it hooks you enough to spend 10 bucks on it. (Reply to this) |
