Playing off quite a few stereotypes and relying primarily on physical comedy and endless misunderstandings about sexuality and drugs, THREE'S COMPANY made its mark on the comedy sitcom genre. When aspiring chef Jack Tripper (John Ritter) tells landlord Mr. Roper (Normal Fell) that he is gay in order to peacefully cohabit with his two attractive female roommates, he must construct a web of lies (which proves almost impossible to unravel) in order to cover his tracks. Loveable airhead Chrissy (Suzanne Somers) and sexy Janet (Joyce DeWitt) add to the miscommunication and only make things worse with their antics. As a well-known physical comedian, Ritter, with his outlandish expressions, gestures, and mannerisms, delivers reliable laughs. [More]
