He starts his own airline and returns to Japan years later, only to discover that she is alive, along with his daughter, and married to a lawyer. His efforts to reconcile, however, are thwarted by former Japanese Secret Service agent Baron Kimura, who has kidnaps Joe's daughter in a bid to force him to use his enterprise to smuggle war criminals back into Japan.
