Equilibrium was very good, but Ultraviolet was atrocious.

I'm surprised anybody wrote Ultraviolet. I was under the impression that they had monkeys pound on a keyboard to produce that screenplay.

Uh that plot sounds like Minority Report, in that he's a precrime policeman on the run, because he was accused of future murder and so he goes thru the whole movie trying to prove his innocence...... Just make it over with an espionage flavor, and POOF! You have SALT. Lame hackery at it's best.

As much as I like Steve McQueen, I think the remake was actually better. Maybe I just hate the stupid editing in the 60s version. You know, with all the split images and junk? I edited like that when I was in school.

Don't get me started on the editing in Easy Rider...

I agree. I've always been a huge Steve McQueen fan and as much as I hate remakes, I thought that the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair was better than the orginal and for pretty much the same reason as you stated.

You would love "The Boston Strangler" then.

Hmm...haven't seen that one. Henry Fonda is awesome though. Nonsensical editing seems to be prevalent in 60s films. Like in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" the fight scenes are cut so that it appears a man can stand up and throw a punch after being on his *** .1 seconds beforehand. That's still an excellent Bond film though (especially that last hour or so!).

Sounds lame, but I said the same about Bourne Identity.
