Most of the jokes are broad, and a lot of them quite dumb, but dammit, they work.

From the opening animated title sequence to the vulgarities at the film's climax, Gregory Poirer's directing debut is an obnoxiously funny comedy with a sharp romantic edge flowering beneath its T&A exterior. The plot surrounds a "kitty" (double entendre intended), created by a group of swinging pals determined to stave off marriage at all costs, with the cash headed towards whoever stays single the longest. Seven years later, only two of the friends remain single, and the pot is up to a half million in cash. When one of the two singles, Michael Delaney (Jerry O'Connell), runs afoul of the Las Vegas gambling mafia on account of a big-breasted babe, he needs that kitty cash desperately. Michael attempts to con his competitor, Kyle Brenner (Jake Busey), into marrying the wildly attractive policewoman Natalie (Shannon Elizabeth), who holds a personal vendetta against Kyle. But the best laid plans begin to run afoul when Natalie and Michael fall for each other instead. Filled with totally gross sex gags, pot shots at other films, and slapstick humor, TOMCATS is a humorous take on adult men who have not outgrown their adolescent mentalities about love, sex, and relationships. Reviews for Tomcats
Tomcats is the first film to be produced by Revolution, the new company of former Disney Studios boss Joe Roth. If this is the revolution, start it without me.
The funniest scene in Tomcats is at the end of a series of outtakes shown during the closing credits. Should you sit through what precedes it just to reach this puny payoff? No.
Poirier wants to revel in the gutter, but despite the juvenile vulgarity of Tomcats, his head is in the clouds.
Let's leave Tomcats in the gutter where it belongs, and re-adjust the levels of cinematic hell, because Porky's just got bumped up a notch.
Tomcats wins, hands-down, the lowest common denominator award so far this year.
Although the uneven Tomcats isn't quite worth recommending, it does produce some nice laughs.
A wildly uneven charade, swinging between the wildly offensive and some genuine, tasteless humor.
Had Say It Isn't So abandoned its lewd, naughty roots and tried to just be a sweet romance, it might have worked better.
Tomcats knows what its target audience is, goes all out to entertain it and, in that respect, the film should be a success.
This movie doesn't try real hard to be much, so I guess maybe I shouldn't try so hard to dissect it so much.
The only truly offensive thing about Tomcats, a bottom feeder of a gross-out comedy desperately wanting to be the next Road Trip or American Pie, is how numbingly unfunny an hour and a half can be.
