on Feb 12 2008 10:49 AM As a lifelong fan of the label, I'm just hoping it's better than it's predecessor. And that Bay heard our cries about bringing back Jazz. (yeah, I know I'm saying it for the upteenth time. but hey, skip over my post if you don't like it.) (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 11:08 AM Michael E-Bay saying he wrote a screenplay is like him saying he directed a movie. Big deal, Ed Wood used to say the same thing. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 11:09 AM In reply to this comment (#1570268) Seventeen?.. Sounds good. Also Bay, in you're reading, be nice if twelve of them don't just show up in the end for cameos and one-liners. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 11:17 AM it really doesnt take a rocket scientist to do this. The story was set up at the end of first movie, Both Starscream and Prime was calling out for help, so they probably make contact with cybertron. I would love to see constructicons or some type of multi robot, giant mega transformation. And the story should involve contacting new robots in space and/or finding some more exisiting ones on earth thats been crashed or dormant, IE Skyfire or dino bots. Not sure why dinobots are so hated but I love em and they will work. The movie will easily be a huge hit, because all the little girls care about now is Hannah Montana, and all the little boys want transformers. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Feb 12 2008 11:32 AM "I write all my movies" Michael Bay... Big explosion. Black guy says something hilarious. Another explosion in the middle of awesome car chase. Robot does something (maybe the robot dance?)Black guy says something that only a black guy would say. Something cool happens. One more giant explosion. Black guy dies, white guy is sad. Robots also cry. 360 degree dolly shot around everything. Credits explode. The End. Script template by Michael Bay (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 11:39 AM Bay has been handed all his scripts. He says so on his DVD comments. What's with the lie? (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 11:48 AM i dont know but for this to be a good movie is more robots less humans and i forgot the most important one get michael bay off of it. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 11:52 AM I vote for the Constructicons and Dinobots, my favorites as a kid. They've got to get Arcee and Soundwave in there somehow too. (Frenzy was not Soundwave, c'mon Soundwave has to shoot smaller bots out of him, okay fine, Soundwave probably won't work.) (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 11:53 AM I thought TRANSFORMERS was good not great, but I think the sequal will be better. I wonder if SHIA or any of the original cast will be back? I finnaly happy to see Michael Bay doing good movies now. I hated PEARL HARBOR, ARMAGEDDON, BAD BOYS 2. I liked THE ROCK, BAD BOYS was ok, and I kinda liked THE ISLAND. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Feb 12 2008 01:45 PM Dernit, deadlaus7 stole my Transformers 2 script I was going to write! The only additions is that several of the explosions between witty black actor quotes must involve several really large vehicles...The kind of vehicles that one usually only sees in rock quarries...And when they blow huge tires and random bodies are always flying amongst huge, orange plumes. Keyword here being; HUGE! (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 01:48 PM I am excited for transformers 2. Looking forward to seeing new robots and if the original cast will be back. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 02:02 PM Wow, the implicit message is that a human being wrote the script to the first movie. I thought it was a chimp at the Bronx Zoo. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 02:06 PM My one plea: BRING BACK THE AC-130! Seeing that flying battleship tear into the scorpion was one of the best moments of the first film. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 02:08 PM And i say right now... transformers need to be more robot action.. and i say this very loud..MORE ACTION..EXPLOSIONS..ROBOT FIGHTS..i love transformers 1 i hope 2 is going to be better (Reply to this) |

Thats brillent!!! (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 02:37 PM The only kind of writing I want to see from Michael Bay is an extended apology for all the pitiful sack of **** movies that he's directed in the past. Seriously, I wasted money on Pearl Harbor and crossed my fingers with Armageddon and have seen Transformers on video and I leave every movie saddened by the waste of great special effects work that was polluted by ridiculous character dialogue and intellectually insulting plot lines. Bay is a waste; I am shocked he's at all connected with Spielberg. (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 12 2008 03:23 PM michael bay sucks. i can't believe how boring Transformers was. it was like he took all his favorite parts of all his other crappy movies, dumped them into one script and added giant robots in the mix. i'll stick to my DVDs of the original cartoon series, even the original Transformers: The Movie. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 03:36 PM i didnt even like the first one (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 03:48 PM The first movie was amazing, i hope the second one is just as good! (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 04:02 PM I hope he keeps the movie adult orientated and it doesn't turn to cheesy dialogue between the robots for the kids' sake. And Michael Bay already said that he's not bringing Jazz back. I'm definetly anticipating # 2 greatly, but on one condition: MORE ROBOT SCREEN TIME AND DIALOGUE!!!!!!!!!!!! (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 04:04 PM Yes, Shia and Megan Fox will be back. They should just let Michael Bay handle the action scenes, let somebody else handle the dialogue, script, story, everything else. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 04:19 PM Michael Bay writes? I didn't know he was even a higher functioning being, let alone one that could write. (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 12 2008 04:32 PM In reply to this comment (#1570890) We can't believe $hit Michael Bay says or pretends to "confirm" about the forthcoming movie. All we can really do is wait. Most would be well advised to not even entertain his little "let's fake out the fans" game that he's trying to play. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 05:06 PM ha! doesn't exactly surprise me about the quikness of his writing. I mean how long can the script for the first film have taken him? An hour? Besides, the first film wasn't about script, it was about spectacle. Bay had to flaunt some serious razzle dazzle to make up for shabby writing and now he'll have to outdo the first film's visual effects if he's to succeed. (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 12 2008 05:21 PM Why do you all continually complain about Bay's (admittedly ridiculous, explosive, entertaining, and blockbuster-intended) movies when he's one of the most popular movie-makers these days? (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 12 2008 05:47 PM You guys forgot one very important thing in the Michael Bay template: Hot chicks in tight and little clothing run around, bend over, and do things that would normally be far above their inteligence level. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 06:02 PM I for one am looking forward to this, Transformers was extremely entertaining and one of my favorite recent summer releases. (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 12 2008 06:25 PM It couldn't have been hard, all you have to do is change all the characters that died into new ones and make a new beginning of the film and you are pretty much set. Yea, that's pretty much how I remember every episode of Transformers playing out. (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 12 2008 06:27 PM In reply to this comment (#1570302) YES!!! That is exactly how I pictured it. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 07:31 PM This is one of the most entertaining group of comments I've read for any RT news article. I just hope Transformers 2 is as entertaining. In other words, I hope it's much better than the first one. Much, much, much, much better. First step: get rid of Bay. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 12 2008 07:43 PM In reply to this comment (#1570264) Michael Bay wrote it. How on earth that can be better? (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 08:05 PM As an avid G1 fan, it bothers me greatly that Bay would even dare pick up a pencil and contemplate writing anything but his own name. There is a reason why newspapers publish articles at an 8th grade reading level and the SAT gives 700 points for just adding your name to the top of the page. He has always been an action expert, not by any means of the word a writer. I did appreciate T1'07 for what it was. I understood that he couldn't make a movie that was soley based on G1 due to the generation gap and the need to make a substantial profit. I only wish that there was more character development. Yet, I really hope that this is one of his on-going attempts to confuse the fanbase. For all those that don't know, Bay has a history of throwing false stories and scripts into the media in an attempt to throw fans off. Bay is no writer. Now with all of that said, I don't believe Bay when he says he wrote it. Spielberg has stated over the last two months that he is going to pay special attention to this project and make sure that the characters are developed greatly. Spielberg wants there to be a lot more depth to T2's story, since we all know the action will be top notch. There was an interview not too long ago where he is quoted as saying that the ending of T2 will be more of an ending like Empire, a dark ending that is able to be transitioned into the third movie. I will try to find that interview and post the link here. All-in-all, I don't see Spielberg letting Bay destroy this movie. He has already said that this trilogy means the most to him since Indiana. Hell, he used to play with G1 toys in the 80's with his kids and still has one of the largest collections in the world. In Spielberg I trust. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 08:22 PM In reply to this comment (#1570302) LOL OMG, lol I wasn't really paying attention the first time I read that, then after taking a minute to run through it again that I laughed so hard i just about Kucfing passed out lol great template lol (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 09:29 PM at least he doesn't take **** from the heavy weights (HD-DVD and BluRay, now the writers guild) Although his movies usually suck, good for him. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 09:47 PM The first movie was fun. That was until the robots started fighting. Then it turned into a big eploding pile of ****. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 12 2008 10:42 PM transformers was entertaining but the end sucked, made no sense. prime wanted to sacrifice himself when all shia did was the block into megatron. y didn't optimus think of that. i hope michael and his team of writers do a better ending. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Feb 13 2008 03:48 AM Speaking of Michael Bay.... I think this tv ad for an Australian Bank shows he has a sense of humour when it comes to all the Bay-Haters out h (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 13 2008 06:07 AM Stop hating on this movie, I'm not a Bay fan at all but damn the last battle scene in the city is the best piece of over the top action ever. The story was stupid the acting was horrible but who cares this all about the action. Starscream taking it to the jets over the city, missiles flying , autobots dodging and transforming in mid leaps. No way he could have 30 transformers running around. Be realistic the movie would never get made. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 13 2008 07:36 AM Of COURSE he already wrote it, and I have the script. It was written on a napkin from Chili's: "First, we see some BIG, CRAZY ROBOTS. They...uhh...what's the word? Change...uhh...changeform!! They changeform from stuff like...big-*** boats, and scooters and treadmills n' stuff. So these big, crazy robots start walkin' around and people are all like "WOAH! That used to be my treadmill!! Holycrap!" Then kapow! Some other big, crazy robots show up...they changeform out of super-fast looking cars (pimped cars??) bicycles and mailboxes. These robots start fightin' with other robots. Then, WOAH...some of these robots are good, and some are bad. Like, REAL bad. Some may even have GLOWING RED EYES! THAT SHOOT LASERS! Ehh...maybe not lasers. Lasers don't go "BOOM" enough. Anyways, these changeformers are REALLY kickin' each others' asses. The people who used to own the items they changed from, like xboxes and DVD players n' stuff...well, they're superpissed cuz' they don't have an xbox anymore...but they are also scared cuz their xbox is totally gunna destroy them if the good robots don't win. Then...KABOOOOOOOM!!! A giant explosion happens. I don't know why. It just does. The bad changeformers all totally melt n' stuff...we see their red eyes getting dim and their mean-*** robot voice saying "NOOOOOOOO! I'm melll-tinnnng!" Then they die. All the good robots and humans celebrate (at Chili's?), and then the robots changeform back into jetskis and pencils. THE END!" What? It was a VERY BIG napkin! So, there you have it. The script to Changeformers II. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 13 2008 09:52 AM I dunno where they all the fans of this movie went, but I'll say it alone: I LOVED THIS MOVIE. I'm a life-long trasnformers fand and I had more fun at this movie than I've had in a VERY long time (YES, I was there with a girl but NO she did not *augment* the movie) The last time I saw repeat viewings of a film was Spider-man, five years ago and the last movie before that was the Matrix-- which should tell everyone where I fall on the spectrum so you can decide how 'insane' or 'gay' I am. Is Bay a great director? NOT in any traditional sense. Do I think he can handle drama? Not unless 'drama' equals 'beautiful people moving in slow motion in the sunset as a camera circles them.' Did he put heart, soul and balls in the T1? I believe so. And I have to say I'd much rather hear about a director feverishly pouring out a script he believes in (though not so much to meet a deadline-yikes) than being handed some corporate sh#t to direct. And as long as I'm sermonizing: Here's the problem with too many transformers (whatever 'too many' is): the more characters you develop, the more screen time you need. If you don't have enough, you end up with Spider-man 3 or Batman & Robin: too many distractions, not enough story to make you care. It's ALL about the writing. Bay writing a script for Bay is a good thing for me, if he ends up ringing the bell like he did in T1. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 13 2008 11:17 AM In reply to this comment (#1571761) Gimy, really, calm down. You can't seriously be getting mad at a few innocuous posts poking fun at Michael Bay. Come on, man. Relax. ;-) (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 13 2008 11:33 AM Gimy, so you defended Michael Bay by saying "if it's a good movie, who cares?". Well, that's the problem. It wasn't a good movie. Most of his films aren't. So Bay sucks. And we don't need to make our own 300 million dollar films to say that. (Reply to this) |
|
on Feb 13 2008 11:41 AM In reply to this comment (#1571891) I've always had a love/hate relationship with Michael Bay's films. I certainly don't hate em all. Transformers put me on the fence though, because while there was a lot that I must admit to having liked, there's also a lot more that left plenty to be desired. Two thumbs up of course for the action, but I was ultimately underwhelmed by the story (and people can call me whatever the fu ck they want for that). Watching Transformers was an experience similar to the one I had watching the introductory X Men and Spider-Man films. Left em both with a fist full of gripes, but retained hope that the sequels would deliver. My hopes were met on both counts (SM2, X2), and I'm hoping for the same from Transformers 2. Especially if there's any truth to Spielberg's devotion to advancing the story and adding in some character depth. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 15 2008 06:28 AM Can Jazz come back with that peice of allspark that OP(Optimus Prime) pulled out of his brother? But if you choose not to Bay I understand, you might have other plans with that piece of spark. Oh and I think i might know whats next from ya Bay, "Energon" that maybe the next big thing in TF 2. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 15 2008 10:48 AM I really want Michael Bay to really listen to fanbase that is Transformers. I dont trust what he could of wrote for the next movie. If I was him, I hire real writers that really cares about the plot and knows action well. Make those writers flesh out all the characters and make them believeable. I so wish work on the sequel. My brothers loves Transformers and to tell them that their brother is working on the sequel would be a big deal to them and to myself. Its not fair that a fan like myself cant really do anything about how badly could this next film turn out. If Michael Bay would ever read this, i hope to god that i am willing to make the effort to impress the ever growing fan base and all who is working on the film.*sighs* all i can do is just dream. heh. ![]() on Feb 29 2008 09:51 AM In reply to this comment (#1577726) pretty much. i like that the fact most of us called for a new director. but no one is listening.i am still willing to change some of plot holes from the first moive. even though i liked the action, i just want the story to be more abot the robots than the humans dealing with them. (Reply to this) |

on Mar 15 2008 05:32 AM In reply to this comment (#1570500) to be honest I think bay had a great many more bots he couldn,t fit in...Yes there is arcee, and yes they made her a toy,But the osprey I think it's called is also a tf toy there is also battle scene toys where be is towed by the tow truck well the toy in the scene as well as the one I bought for my nephew transforms.I think bay at least hasbro intended on a few more characters. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 14 2008 04:25 PM I think SHIA and Megan Fox has already singed on to the sequel already. I want Acer to be Megan's robot because Shia has Bumblebee. I am a huge Dinobots fan(hence my name Dinogirl and I am a girl lol) i never got any of the original dinobots cause they were so expensive. But if they get in to the movie I am going to get Grimlock he was my fave. I don't know why hardly anybody like them they were awesome. I hope at least in the movie if they use them they would make them little bit more smarter. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 23 2008 12:01 AM I really thought Bay did a pretty good job with Transformers. Since he now says that all the rumors you read are going to be false, and his history of giving out false info anyway, why does anyone take this seriously? As far as T1 goes, I think Shia did a good job, (considering when he was shooting his scenes he usually had a pool with a cardboard robot face on it to talk to,) and Megan Fox I thought .... well, she's a fox!! Who cares if she can act! LOL. Now on to the new movie. I think the number of robots in the 1st movie is a number that Bay should stick with. Like one poster said, if you add more, it'll clutter everything up like in Spider-Man 3. Since they were originally going to have Arcee in the 1st movie, (watch your second disc of T1 for that info,) I agree with Dinogirl .... Sam has Bumblebee, Fox's character could have Arcee. Besides, if you've seen the Arcee movie toy, Fox would look super-fine on a bike like that. But here's where you all are going to flip on me and rip this post apart ....... Transformers 2 needs to continue the storyline from the 1st one I think. The main focus should be on The Decepticons finding a new leader. So therefore, NO Dinobots or Constructicons. Sorry all, it's too soon for them. In my opinion, introduce GALVATRON! Bring in Galvatron, but not entirely like the Unicron storyline from the animated movie. Something like, Starscream is trying to be the new Decepticon leader, and those still loyal to Megatron, (I'm assuming that would be Frenzy and Barricade,) go to that place in the ocean and recover what's left of Megatron and rebuild him and bring him back online as Galvatron. They'll have to introduce a couple new Decepticons considering Blackout, Bonecrusher, and Devastator/Brawl were killed in the 1st one. So there's my 2 cents ..... have at me all! (Reply to this) |
