Ha. I read this as "Red Dawn" and got very confused. I need some more coffee. :)

wow. you gotta be pretty huge when you can turn one sentence into breaking news and it isn't even a fact; he said "I think". why don't you leave this kind of news to twitter where it belongs?

Instead of ANNE RICE'S Vampire Chronicles (with Louie and Lestat and Claudia and Armand and the rest of the gang), we have to "endure" these McDonald's Big-Mac vampires (in comparison).

ANNE RICE was "mass market literature" but Stephine Myers is not literature . . . Myers is as if the editors of USA-TODAY wrote vampire books.

Based on the stills that I've seen, I can't decide if the "werewolves" look more like big teddy bears or the Fantastic Mr. Fox. Either way, I have no desire to waste my time or money on this pre-pubescent, mawkish, tripe. I'll leave it to my 13 year-old daughter who swoons at the mere mention of Taylor Lautner.

The theater I work at is going to be open 24 hours opening weekend for New Moon. We have 3, 4, 5:30 and 7 AM shows. Kill me now.

There's no way they can make Breaking Dawn without it being rated R and effectively alienating the bulk of the fan base. It'll be interesting to see how they approach it.

JettaJameson, I agree. It's retarded that they even mention it...I mean. She has sex, gets pregnant, grows a demon baby within a month, goes completely ape****, starts drinking blood, has her stomach torn open by edwards teeth, goes ape**** when she transforms, and...whatever. Just really gruesome, but not the good kind.

And then nothing happens at the end. Prep the audience for a huge battle, then just have a peaceful resolution.

Interesting indeed.

And I don't care about spoiler warnings, who really gives a damn when it's about twilight?

Scythe,

Hmmm. . . that actually sounds interesting. I mean, incredibly stupid, but interesting.

There aren't enough films made nowadays involving DEMON BABIES. . . I miss IT'S ALIVE!

. . . and Gordon, you're actually lucent in this thread. . . Either you need to STOP taking drugs, or start taking drugs all the time.

God forbid that kind of stuff happen in a vampire movie! I mean, really. All I want my vampires to do is brood and worry about finding a date for the prom.

When I hear you speak all I hear is "Pucka pucka pah" **Impression done in Teletubby voice** Just kidding Arendr, but the discussion was about the movie's rating. Most of that stuff doesn't happen in PG-13 movies, even about Vampires.

Lol, I suppose you're right to an extent.

Problem is, however, that it isn't a demon baby. When it emerges, it's this friendly little girl who "wants nothing but peace and love in the world, and uses her emotions to get it."

Oh, and let's not forget the werewolf falls in love with her. Yes. The baby.

Yeah, the whole Jacob imprinting on Renesmee thing is gross. The idea that he stops aging until Renesmee is "of age" and then they can just be together just creeps me out. The sex between Edward and Bella in Breaking Dawn is so intense, they break the bed and destroy the pillows. There are nude scenes. And then there's that graphic birth. And yes, worst of all, the massively anti-climactic ending. I was sorely disappointed. I think, for the movies sake, that the rewrite the ending and give us that epic battle we were waiting for.

I just can't wrap my head around how they're going to manage to market this movie to the demographic. Seriously. Do you have any idea how many children under 14 watch this stuff and read these books?

Makes me chuckle.

Preaching to the choir brother. So glad the forums have regained some of their old luster again. It was getting boring there for a bit.

I say they just go full blown R. The kiddies will see it anyway most likely. Breaking Dawn also has a chance at appealing to hardcore vampire fans since it has a much darker theme. Who knows. Time will tell.

You have to be mental to even watch any of that Twilight crap. Kid or not. It just sucks in ways words cannot describe. The books, movies, all of it. I curse Stephanie Meyer for these alternative bastard vampires and all she has ruined. Hollywood as well for making the movies (ltroi)
