There is more plot and character development in Michael Jackson’s music video for “Beat It” than in “Undisputed,” a forgettable prison boxing movie.

Reviews for Undisputed
It should have been more memorable, but at least it doesn't stumble in the ring.
The only thing indisputable here is that lots of talent has been frittered away on a really silly and formulaic story.
While [Hill] has learned new tricks, the tricks alone are not enough to salvage this lifeless boxing film.
Overly stylized with lots of flash black-&-white freeze frames reminiscent of a pseudo-hip luxury car commercial, (it's) at its worst when it's actually inside the ring.
Trying to be the black "Rocky" in prison, this movie is over-the-top and ridiculous to the point of being cartoony.
[Staying awake] is going to be your problem as you wait through this lifeless movie in the hope that the ending boxing match will be worth the wait. It isn't.
A lean and mean thriller that, no disrespect intended, is in the best B-movie tradition.
Boasting a solid cast and efficient direction from industry veteran Walter Hill, the film delivers what it promises but absolutely nothing more.
If you're into quality title overlays, then you won't want to miss this one
This 90-minute dud could pass for Mike Tyson's E! True Hollywood Story.
