Deciding that he is finally ready to settle down, fashion editor Michael James realizes that he has a real problem: He is very handsome, and his job as editor for a Parisian fashion magazine gives women the opportunity to throw themselves at him. Time Out

A horribly dated affair, Clive Donner's film ends with the entire cast desperately trying to get laughs from a go-kart race. Yes, it really is that bad.

A classic comedy of its time and captures the period in sight and sound. It doesn't wear as well as a true classic, though, and many of the gags would feel dated 20 years later.

It goes overboard in pressing for its goal and consequently suffers from over-contrived treatment.

Jammed with stars in a zany, surprisingly unfunny plot for the most part.

The all-star international cast goes overboard in keeping things zany but not necessarily funny.

Somewhere in the proceedings there were sane and skillful artisans at work.

Clive Donner's stylish direction harmonizes well with Woody Allen's inspired screenplay to yield an elegant entertainment, proving once again that Allen is a better scenarist than a director.
