on Jan 30 2008 06:50 PM Wow, I was hoping this was going to be made into a movie. Judging by the actors being picked I'll be first in line. Theron will def be the mother in the flashback and Duvall should be the old man who steals the cart. Wonder if the movie will have a narrator. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 31 2008 05:10 AM I was actually thinking of the boy from There Will Be Blood... but this kid as least looks the part. We'll see if he can act, because they film really hinges on his portrayal of the character, because we all know Viggo will certainly do the father character justice. I have high hopes, there's some incredible talent in this film! I actually hope that this isn't too Coen Bros.-esque. I want someone else's interpretation of McCarthy and his themes, and don't just want a retread of what the Coens [masterfully] did. I don't want people to refer to this as "Oh, the other dismal McCarthy Oscar-bait flick." As long as they keep it gritty, emotionally, and preserve the novel's ending, I'll be ecstatic. ![]() on Jan 31 2008 06:59 AM Oh this kid is adorable!!! So precious and waif-like! He will make the movie! I think Robert Duvall as the old man. Guy Pearce as the shoppping cart stealer. Eric Bana (First I've heard of him in this) as the dad at the end. VIGGO MORTENSEN WILL WIN THE OSCAR IN 2009 FOR THIS! What about the militant "Road Warriors"? And the one who is shot? What about the canibals at the farm house? And the three on the road? What about the mother at the end? Any ideas? (Reply to this) |

on Jan 31 2008 09:20 AM In reply to this comment (#1543129) Daisy, I can understand how you got confused...but Eric Bana is not in this, from what I know. Kodi Smit-McPhee (the boy) was in "Romulus, My Father" with Eric Bana. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 11 2008 01:44 AM For those that have not yet seen Kodi Smit McPhee in "Romulus, My Father"...well he is a very talented young actor. I was really impressed by his performance in the movie and its no wonder he has been picked up for this movie already. (Reply to this) |
