"Brett Ratner's impending X-Men 3."
Makes it sound a little too similar to phrases like "impending doom", or "impending disaster".
No, I'm not implying anything. I'm just saying.

Think they could have found somebody better than Foster, but mabey he'll be alright. I'm happy to hear Angel's finaly being brought to the series though.

screw angel...
i want nightcrawler back. The x-movies are choosing their cast like the worst record labels: dumping previous artists in favor of fresh faces, ultimately damning any chance for true epic story arches, which should be a main goal in a big franchise like this.

I too want nightcrawler back and I've never been a fan of Angel, but I guess he has his following hoping to see him on screen. Glad to see that Anna is back as Rogue, but definitely Pyro should be back after the ending of the last movie !

As much as I love Angel, I'd much prefer Nightcrawler! I am so nervous about this installment!

Looking forward to this one. Ratner will do fine as director.

wonder if it will be arch angel, or just the reg angel

and dumping night crawler was a seriously stupid move

im still nervous about the choice of director

well, in a few months, we should be getting some buzz on the script

and watch for a huge promo at next years comic con

I thought Cummings had already signed a contract for two more movies. How could he just suddenly disappear from the scene?

I guess the studio has the last word, and if the script doesn't call for Nightcrawler, then it's their decision to leave him out, at least for the next movie.

Meh, look at it this way. Angel is kinda lame, but he gets turned into Archangel. Who does that too him in the comic books? One of the better X-villans, Apocalypse. I had doubt they'd use him (at least, that Singer would), but now that the series seems to be heading in a more supernatural context (the Phoenix, Juggernaut) than the first two, maybe we'll get to see the oldest mutant on the big screen.

I don't know how excited I am about this. I am a HUGE X-Men fan, and I am dying to see this movie, but Archangel? I'm excited about Juggernaut and Beast though, as well as I am excited in seeing how they play out the Phoenix storyline.

That is what I'm thrown off about. Is Apocolypse going to be in it? How is he going to turn into Archangel without Apocolypse?

I don't think he'll neccessarily be in X3, but more of a lead in to the story. Kinda like the character of Doctor Conners (the Lizard) was introduced in Spider-man 2, and he won't be the villan in 3 either (well, considering they've hired two villans and already have another more important one building).
