![]() on Nov 01 2007 06:00 AM I really can't take David Duchovny seriously anymore. He's a sellout. Son of a black-lung-son-of-a-b*tch. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 07:35 AM I'll watch it. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 08:27 AM This is truly exciting news but yeah....i won't believe it'll really happen until i'm actually sitting in the theatre (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 08:34 AM July 25th? Holy **** thats fast. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 08:40 AM Good! Just as some studios like to reboot old movies, it wouldn't be bad to kick start an old show again. I'll be happy to see this one! Especially since the core group is back. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 09:13 AM How does this make Duchovny a sellout? Not sure I follow. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 09:25 AM Very exciting about this, X-Files was a great show, and the movie was good too. A little intelligence in your horror film is not a bad thing. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 09:32 AM I thought the original film was a let-down. It was more of a tangent to the show rather than core storyline. Somehow, it didn't seem to answer any questions. The aliens seemed thrown in for action. It would be nice if they ditch the alien plotline and focus on the carnival freaks (or the lamprey man!) (Reply to this) |
![]() on Nov 01 2007 09:51 AM It's going to be released in July, and their still a month away from the start of production? That seems awfully fast. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 10:06 AM Maybe it will be a montage of different episodes as chosen per the experts at MySpace set to a thumpin' hip hop soundtrack; a la ESPN. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 10:12 AM Oh, how delicious! It'll be good to see Scully & Mulder again after so long. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 10:15 AM Finally. Christ. Although, it does sound a little soon. I hope they don't rush this. I guess the script has been bouncing around for a while, though. I want to believe. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 11:11 AM Whats the point, is there really much demand for another X-files movie. I know it could be called the search for Gillian Anderson's career. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 12:21 PM In reply to this comment (#1239367) Must there be a demand for movies in order for them to be made? I don't claim to know the motivations of the filmmakers, but why assume that they don't have great ideas and a good story to tell? And also, how do you know that Gillian Anderson's career isn't just fine? Maybe she's had a fine career doing theatre or street performances or something. Maybe she's a very happy and successful seamstress, or perhaps a grave-digger. Or maybe she runs a totally awesome lemonade stand. Maybe she makes robots for the military or does lube jobs for dune buggies. I don't know anything about her life other than a TV show and a movie I saw her in. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 02:07 PM sweeeet! i love the x-files, and i have been waiting for this movie a long while. and even though i must admit after season 7 the show was mostly useless, it was the grouping of molder and scully that really made the show click. i don't care if this movie turns out to be bad because i will probably like it anyways and i'm just glad to see this movie finally getting a release date. so screw you all guys who never watched the show to begin with, that jump on here and trash talk the hell out of it. I would also think that Gillian Anderson's career is doing fine considering she was just in a movie that won an oscar. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 03:41 PM This is good news, considers the final episode of the series was a bit of a let-down (though informative!) (Reply to this) |
![]() on Nov 01 2007 05:31 PM sounds very rushed....... but i wouldn't mind seeing it actually. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 01 2007 11:25 PM I wonder what the budget will be. I'm glad it is coming out during the Summer but is it going to be more of a let fans buy it on dvd or will it appeal to a wider audience which the first one did fairly well (Reply to this) |
|
on Nov 01 2007 11:58 PM July 25th is way too early. I predict it will be bumped to a later date. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 02 2007 05:10 AM Well, David Duchovny is trying to make a comeback. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Nov 02 2007 09:43 PM The Summer of 08 is suddenly looking good, Intellegent sci-fi how I missed thee.. 7 years = an itch 10 years = a rush? I don't think so... I am sure that this script was banged out years ago ... Duchovny has been talking about this darn movie since the series wrapped, getting fans hopes up and Carter bringing the pain launching a lawsuit against FOX for residual monies owed that lasted 5 years and Anderson all but disappeared and re-appeared in The Last King of Scotland. The ups, the downs, the indigestion. Grab the pepto, I am dizzy with excitement. Seriously. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 17 2008 07:15 PM In reply to this comment (#1239367) "Whats the point, is there really much demand for another X-files movie. I know it could be called the search for Gillian Anderson's career." Hey Odious, according to IMDB she's been in 4 movies and 14 episodes of a tv show since the X-Files, and she's got like 4 more movies on the way. But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of making a really lame joke. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 17 2008 07:18 PM Oh, and I almost forgot to the people saying that there isn't enough time to make a decent movie for a summer release... while it's entirely possibly that the movie will get bumped, remember that the X-Files show was basically a short movie every two weeks when they were producing it. If anyone could make a movie with that short a turnaround and still have it be decent, it would be the people behind the X-Files. I will be getting my ticket for opening day, whenever that ends up being. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 10 2008 05:20 AM I can't wait for this film. The writing in the X-Files has never been matched and I'm dying to to see the most compelling duo on the big screen. There really is no other movie that I'm excited about seeing other than maybe Indiana Jones. And just for all the ignorant people here, Gillian Anderson has been building up a very respectable career, she lives in London however so you won't see her wandering around aimlessly in L.A.She was incredible in House of Mirth, she did an incredible adaptation of Bleak House, the Last King of Scotland and she just finished How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. She also did theatre immediately after the X-Files.I'm sorry but she's had a far more interesting career than Duchovny.Period.
