Ed Zwick to Orchestrate "Diamond" Hunt for WB
The Hollywood Reporter brings news of the latest project for director Ed Zwick ("Glory," "Courage Under Fire"): "Diamonds" tells the tale of "a poor African farmer who gets caught up in a conflict between an American diamond smuggler and the syndicate that controls the local diamond-mining industry." Screenwriters Marshall Hershkovitz ("The Last Samurai") and Charles Leavitt ("K-PAX") did rewrite duty on the original screenplay by Charlie Mitchell (who also has "Cinderella Man" on the way.)
