Former Dracula to Play Superman's Boss
Summary
Thanks to the unexpected mid-season success of the Fox TV series "House," actor Hugh Laurie has been forced to give up the plum role of Perry White in Bryan Singer's "Superman Returns." Stepping into the recently vacated role is Mr. Frank Langella, a fine character actor who's been seen in movies like "Cutthroat Island" and "Masters of the Universe," but is probably best known for playing the Count in John Badham's 1979 "Dracula" adaptation. The featurette said he had been cast as the young Clark Kent/Superman. I hate to see Hugh Laurie drop out. I think he would have been a perfect Perry White. (Reply to this) |

Ophiuchus writes: on Apr 07 2005 10:28 PM Stephen Bender, eh? Well, it sounds like my friend (Actually he's just an aquaintance) didn't get the part. That's a shame. He's a great actor in the making. (Reply to this) |

Ophiuchus writes: on Apr 09 2005 04:22 AM Yeah, I agree. I thought Jonah Jameson was one of the funniest characters I've ever seen in a movie. (Reply to this) |

jarek writes: on Apr 11 2005 09:08 PM Langella doesn't play himself on Unscripted though (which I always found weird). So no, they won't be tying this in. (Reply to this) |
