Get Ready for Another Dose of "Basic Instinct"
You've heard it mentioned for years, but production is (finally) about to get underway on "Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction." A follow-up to Paul Verhoeven's sexual thriller from 1992, "BI2" will be directed by Michael Caton-Jones ("Doc Hollywood," "This Boy's Life") from a screenplay by Leora Barish ("Desperately Seeking Susan") and Henry Bean ("Internal Affairs"). Sharon Stone is indeed returning for a second go-round as the venomous Catherine Trammell, and she'll be joined by actors David Thewlis ("The Big Lebowski"), Charlotte Rampling ("Swimming Pool"), and David Morrissey ("Captain Corelli's Mandolin"). Production on "Basic Instinct 2" gets underway this week in London.

on Apr 19 2005 12:22 PM Sharon Stone Sags Well, I Guess hollywood has run out of actresses who will bare breasts, so they have to go back to OLD faithful Sharon Stone. By OLD I mean 47 years worth of sags that I wont pay to see. There is no one on this cast list I know or care to know, including Stone. Actually, are there any good actresses out there besides Naomi Watts who will show breasts? By the way, I love you and respect you for it Naomi. Its part of the beauty of film to reveal oneself, even if it is a lesbian scene or a masturbation scene in Mulholland Dr. Kudos to you Naomi. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Apr 19 2005 01:37 PM Why are there so many sequels? This movie is gonna suck for sure especially since they waited so long to make a sequel. SEQUELS NEED TO STOP!!!!! (Reply to this) |
![]() on Apr 19 2005 03:17 PM That's Stone's business! She has no way out and only this film successful. I'm sorry for her that she needs a sequel to revive her career. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Apr 20 2005 06:59 AM Catherine Trammell, we've missed you! Looking forward to seeing Catherine Trammell again in action. I watched this movie over and over, wondering who the killer was. I was not so sure that Catherine was the killer, were you? (Reply to this) |
![]() on Apr 20 2005 07:04 AM In reply to this comment (#821507) Sharon Stone does not need to be revived! Catherine Trammell is what this movie is about. Remember, Sharon Stone is merely the actress, playing this part. This is who we want to see. SS may well be in her forties, but age never hurt anyone. Don't you wish you were 47? Or, are you 22, and only into looking at 'babes'. SS is a serious actress and a damned good one too. She makes Catherine Trammell come to life. Remember that. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Apr 23 2005 04:15 AM In reply to this comment (#821512) Sharon Stone needs her feeding tube removed. Ouch, that title maybe in poor taste, but I think it speaks for itself. Stone is a fossil. She's dated. Her career is dead so let it stay that way. I'm sure when this stink bomb comes out, it'll be #1---just like other poop-stains like "the Pacifier" or "Hitch". Speaking of worthless careers, Vin Die... (Reply to this) |
