to be honest, hitchcock's was masterful in suspense and the lack of a soundtrack a nice compliment to that. but it is far from a great movie. "only bad movies should be remade" is semi-applicable here. but bay…please, you are no hitchcock. what could you do to make this better?

The birds will be CGI and the hero will kill them with a super-lazer-machine gun saving the day...

Won't it be cute to see the obligatory cameo from a star of the original version. Awww....... I can see Tippi Hedren on CNN already.

Michael Bay will burn for eternity.
This man needs to be stopped before he strikes again. Bay has no heart, no soul, no talent, and no brain. He's a walking bag of festering rat mucous.

The only way it could be worse is if Uwe Boll is hired on to direct it.

Remakes, Remakes, Remakes, that and sequels are all anybody is doing anymore. However, I will still go and see this one. I don't know why everyone is giving Michael Bay so much flack. Lets just face it most of the time a remake is never going to be better then the original. In my opinion the remakes he has done haven't been terrible. I really liked both his remakes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the Amityville Horror. But like I said before they will never stack up next to the original. So I will give a little word of advice, get over it people, and watch the remakes as their own film. Its kind of like how when they turn a book into a movie, and its never as good as the book. If you look at them as their own separate pieces of work it makes things a lot easer.
