on May 06 2005 03:55 PM What are you people retarded? Everything that is wrong with Hollywood is represented right there in that trailer. Idiots who go and see crap like this are the reason Hollywood sucks so bad. It's not the studios that are the problem, but the zombified sheep who gobble up this mindless garbage. (Reply to this) |

on May 07 2005 09:57 AM I like knoxville, I like scott even more, jessica sucks, but then again burt reynolds is the shit. It's gonna be entertaining, pure and simple. Kiss my ass if you don't like it, because summer movies aren't supposed to be artsy (Reply to this) |

on May 07 2005 10:02 AM In reply to this comment (#821945) Relax We're talking about The Dukes of Hazzard here, man. The original show was aimed at twelve year old boys, and easily amused adults. I don't like it when Hollywood ruins a classic, but the original show was a complete joke to begin with, so who cares? They can do whatever they want! (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 07 2005 11:00 AM TV Show Movies SUCK Give me a TV show movie that actually did well, or was even well written! 99% of the time they don't even go along with the show, it ends up being more of a insult, just look at the HoneyMooners movie coming out! Its like a slap in the face to the orginal show, and nothing like it, bascially the characters have the same names thats it! I wouldn't waste my time even to rent this Dukes of Hazard film, for one thing I never watched the show, and another I can't stand anyone in this film. The only reason this film will do anything is dittzy Jessica Simpson in really short, shorts and a tight tee-shirt. And I think they knew that too which is why they made it. (Reply to this) |

on May 07 2005 05:37 PM In reply to this comment (#821946) You're a total moron and the reason they make this recycled pap is because of idiots like you paying them to do it. Just because it's not "artsy" doesn't mean it has to be crap such as this. Wake up, you mindless sheep. (Reply to this) |

on May 08 2005 01:43 PM Great TV shows turned into movies Actually, My Mother The Car was the best TV show of all time. Will Ferrell would be a great Dave Crabtree. Jerry Van Dyke could have a cameo as the voice of a talking car who falls in love with Dave's car voiced by his mother who would be played by Tyne Daly. Then another car voiced by Peter Boyle would play the dead husband of Tyne Daly. Jerry and Peter would fight over Tyne and Will would try and get his dead father back with his dead mother, Leaving poor Jerry to fender for himself. (Reply to this) |

on May 09 2005 09:30 AM In reply to this comment (#821948) There are a few "TV Movies" better than the shows. The Addams Family, Charlie's Angels, and the highly underrated Josie & The Pussycats come to mind. The Fugitive was great too, (although slightly OVERrated.) And it helps if the original is crap. But the only way to truly make it work is to subvert it, like the first Brady Bunch movie. It doesn't look like that is the case with this one, but I have some small hopes that it won't be total crap with Jay Chandrasekhar at the helm. Still, it's not like I'll go see it, but I'll certainly give it a shot on cable. BTW, "Serenity" should certainly break the TV to Movies jinx...I have no higher hopes this year. (Reply to this) |

on May 09 2005 09:54 AM Relax, you snobs Why are so many people getting pissed off? You artsy fartsy types can stick to your indies. This is what summer movies are all about. No reason for crapping on our parade. I like classics and documentaries and indies, etc, but there's nothing wrong with a movie like this once in a while. (Reply to this) |

on May 13 2005 10:46 AM In reply to this comment (#821950) hey jaka you are an idiot for thinking you know anything about anybody. I am anti-mainstream, I love art films, and hate movies like monster in-law. Pull your head out of your ass man!!! It's not like the movie is starring freddie prinze jr. and orlando bloom!!! At least they got some fairly funny guys to play the roles. As I said, I love art films, am a huge stanley kubrick fan, but unlike you I realize that I can enjoy a dumb comedy every now again. Maybe if you got laid every now and again, you'd be able to laugh a little bit. Ever seen dumb and dumber? Entertainment, that is the bottom line. While I do agree that most mainstream movies are a waist of time, I still think there is some enjoyment to be had there. I would much rather go see a remake of a classic goof-ball tv show with some fairly talented people in it (minus simpson of course, but she's nice to look at, and thats what daisy duke is all about) than watch the latest re-hash of the same old romantic comedy. You can't really call me a sheep, because at least I have enough brain power to decide what I like and dislike out of hollywood (the exact opposite of sheep). The same cannot be said for you however, who seem's to be automatically biast to anything that comes out hollywood. (Reply to this) |

on May 13 2005 02:57 PM In reply to this comment (#821956) So you saw Clockwork Orange. BFD. And you can rationalize it all you want. You and all like you are imbeciles to pay Hollywood to make this garbage. You personally are responsible for ruining films for people with brains. Now go watch your Garfield DVD. (Reply to this) |
