Take a Good Long Look at the Face of "Ghost Rider"
ComingSoon.net, by way of RangerBoard, brings us a clear and fairly impressive look at next year's "Ghost Rider." It's Nicolas Cage, of course, who plays the title character ... although we can safely assume that it's not Nick who's plated in steel and covered with flame.
"Daredevil" writer/director Mark Steven Johnson is the man behind "Ghost Rider"'s handlebars, and surrounding Mr. Cage will be Wes Bentley ("American Beauty"), Sam Elliott ("The Hulk"), Peter Fonda ("Easy Rider"), and Eva Mendes ("Hitch").
"Ghost Rider" wheels into theaters in August, 2006.

kubrickfan writes: on Jun 24 2005 10:02 AM If they took 40 minutes out of the movie, it would have been another daredevil, a movie with no substance. I personally like a long, in-depth comic book movie with a lot of character development, because that's how comics are. When you read a series of comics, it's not all action. Alot of it is dialog and story. A lot of you claimers say you don't want a dull comic book movie, yet you crap on the ones that aren't dull!!! I liked the hulk, and I'm glad that ang lee (and the studio for that matter) had the balls to try to make something a little different, instead of just cashing in on the comic book movie craze. It's just too bad that it didn't pay off like it should have (although it did still make 130 million domestically alone, not to mention overseas and on dvd), because I personally would like to see a sequel. And I think the ghost rider pic looks cool> He's a badass character for a good vengence movie. I know cage is a big ghost rider fan, so I hope he pushes the director to make a good movie. He probably has more pull than that director anyway. (Reply to this) |

If the 1st shot (Ghost Rider) doesn't appeal to you, who say that there wouldn't be a second attempt. Remember 'Batman Begins' real cool. (Reply to this) |

Reel 2/Dialogue 2 writes: on Jun 25 2005 05:59 AM With the exception of a non-Betty, hero-bent motivation (the jet scene) and the climactic fight, I really dug Hulk. Nolte's gamma iradiation scene was some of the best acting + effects combination I've ever seen of its kind. But for those of you wanting a sequel, I wouldn't count on a continuing in-depth analysis. What...? Oh, uh.... Ghost Rider smash. (Reply to this) |

dxdave writes: on Apr 30 2006 11:15 AM I am soooo excited to see this movie. I also hope they spend time developing the character. For a casual fan to get any kind of understanding of Ghost Rider, they are going to have to spend some serious time getting the background of this character correct. As for a second "Hulk" movie.....I don't know about all that.....I, personally, thought the first one was horrible and I am usually a very open-minded person.......I'll chance a trip to see a sequel for it, though.
