Giamatti & Bellucci Join Clive Owen's "Shoot 'Em Up"
by Scott Weinberg | August 19, 2005

Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci will co-star with Clive Owen in Michael Davis' "hard-core action" movie "Shoot 'Em Up," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"The story begins with a woman having a baby during a shootout. The man who delivers the baby, called simply Mr. Smith (Owen), is entrusted with protecting it from an army of gunmen. Giamatti would play the villain who wants the baby dead, and Bellucci would be Owen's love interest."

Shooting on the New Line project is slated to begin in January.

Mr. Davis' earlier films include "100 Girls" and "Monster Man."

I think so. I can't see Giamatti as a vilain at all.

I can buy Paul Giamatti as the villan.

I like Giamatti being added as the villan, and Bellucci is an underused beautiful talent in the US. And Owen's is cool but I really don't have any faith in Mr. Davis. It's definitely got potental though.
