Trailer Bulletin: Doom (full trailer)
by Scott Weinberg | August 26, 2005
Blog Article | Discuss Article
A few weeks ago we pointed you towards the first little teaser trailer for Universal's "Doom," but now there's a full-fledged theatrical trailer, and you can enjoy the first-person mayhem right here.

Starring The Rock, Karl Urban, and Rosamund Pike (and brandishing an R rating for "strong violence/gore and language"), "Doom" is about hell breaking loose in an interstellar outpost, and the sickening creatures who kill everyone in sight.

Get your joystick fingers ready, because "Doom" is ready to collect your power-ups (and by that I mean money) on October 21st.

At least this one looks better than the teaser that was previously released, even though the special effects seem unfinished in some scenes

Song
Anyone know the name of the song playing in that trailer?

Someone needs to put up a site listing the names of songs in movie trailers.

I hope that first person shooting camera angle in the trailer was just for the trailer.

If I want to see shots like that I'll play the video game.

they actually used the FPS veiw so all you see is a gun haha. And if its suppose to be like Doom 3 then it has to be all dark and you cant see sh*t and things just randomly pop up!

They threw the story completely out the window. This film is not Doom. It's something else with similar monsters and guns.

You can tell id either didn't care what the studio did with the license, or it has a really lame legal team.

At least its Rated R
Im definatly siked to see the R rating, i hope they go all out on the gore. At least its not a PG-13 crapfest horror movie, It will be a rated R crapfest. Better be gorier than Land of the dead(whitch is hard to beat), Its also better have so good graphic chainsaw killing, im so stoked about it!!

I just can't effing believe they are doing this with first person camera angles to make the movie look like playing they game. When did Uwe Boll became a role model?

I'm so gonna get a lot of migraines watching this movie (If I actually do watch it. But I have a lifetime ticket so it cost me nothing).

Title of song is "Switchback" and it's by the band Celldweller. http://www.celldweller.com/

As for the movie... the first person view looks fricking lame. Almost as bad as the video game cut ins on House of the Dead.

God, why must Hollywood defile everything they put their ghastly hands on! My prediction for this movie is that same prediction that I had for 99% of all the other moves that came out this year. It's gonna suck. Best movies this year: Batman Begins, SIn City, and Kung Fu Hustle. That's it!!!! Hmmm... thinks that's like 98%, whatever.
