"Super Ex" Signs Two More Funny Folks
We've already reported that Ivan Reitman's "Super Ex" will star Uma Thurman as a superheroine and Luke Wilson as her ex-boyfriend, but The Hollywood Reporter brings news that both Anna Faris and Eddie Izzard have been enlisted for a few supporting roles.
"The comedy centers on a man (Wilson) who learns that his girlfriend (Thurman) is a superhero and breaks up with her when she becomes too controlling and neurotic. She then uses her powers to torment and embarrass him. Faris will play Hannah, the love interest of Wilson's character. Izzard will play Professor Bedlam, the story's villain."
Written by "Simpsons" scribe Don Payne, "Super Ex" marks Mr. Reitman's first feature since 2001's "Evolution."

Aoiboy writes: on Aug 30 2005 02:14 AM I'm really looking forward to this one... At least sounds original, what is a lot to say nowadays, and I find the premise funny. It doesn't hurt that I'm a big Uma Thurman fan. By the way, check out the trailer for the comedy "Prime", starring her and Meryl Streep ! (It's up on Apple trailers website). (Reply to this) |

Infernal writes: on Aug 30 2005 10:11 AM Actually, I MYSELF am looking forward to this. And Aoiboy said it already, but this sounds VERY original. Anna Faris is good part for the character they descibe her as playing, Owen Wilson can be funny if he wants to be, but his last few films have failed. Uma Thurman, I predict, will fit her role rather well. But I don't think, however, that she would be the best superheroine. (Reply to this) |

Scott Weinberg writes: on Aug 31 2005 01:54 PM My mistake folks. It's Luke Wilson who's starring in this movie; not Owen. I've made the appropriate corrections in the article. My apologies to the Wilson brothers, who share a last name but don't really look anything alike. (Reply to this) |
