Trailer Bulletin: Saw 2
by Scott Weinberg | September 13, 2005
Discuss Article
From first-time director Darren Bousman comes the hotly anticipated sequel "Saw 2," which is, of course, the follow-up to last year's surprise hit "Saw." Check out the all-new trailer right here.

"While investigating the bloody aftermath of a grizzly murder, Detective Eric Mason has the feeling that it is the work of Jigsaw, the notorious killer who disappeared leaving a trail of bodies - and parts - behind. And Mason is right. Jigsaw is at work again. But instead of two people locked in a room with only one unthinkable way out, there are eight. Eight strangers -- unaware of their connection to each other -- forced to play out a game that challenges their wits and puts their lives in jeopardy."

Written by original "Saw" scribe Leigh Whannell and Mr. Bousman, the sequel stars Donnie Wahlberg, Glenn Plummer, Dina Meyer, Shawnee Smith, and Tobin Bell. "Saw 2" opens wide on October 28th.

Skeptical but optimistic. Loved the first one, and I want this want to rock so badly, but i'm worried it won't. Oh well. Come halloween we'll see.

I hated the first one. Bad acting, plot holes, not a scare... But I have to admit this trailer looks interesting, though the premise of the group locked to find an exit seems a bit borrowed from Cube.

Where is Cary Elwes?!
The first movie was a great "thinking" horror flick. I was completely surprised how good it ended-up being. Cary Elwes was in the first one and is a great actor, I hate he will not be in SAW 2. I remember that he cut his foot off, but did he die in the first one?

The last ten mins in the first movie was pure classic. SAW2 look's like a strait to dvd at blockbuster type.
