Trailer Bulletin: Syriana
by Scott Weinberg | October 06, 2005
Discuss Article
Yahoo! Movies has the first look at the rather intense and intriguing trailer for Stephen Gaghan's political thriller "Syriana," which boasts and all-star cast and a rather topical plot.

Based on the book by Robert Baer, "Syriana" is about "a 21-year veteran of the CIA, (who) spent his entire career investigating terrorists around the globe. As the dangers of terrorism increased, Baer watched as the CIA's funding was cut, politics overtook judgment, and warning signs were ignored. But the struggle becomes personal when and oil executive and his wife are faced with a family tragedy."

Starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, Amanda Peet, Chris Cooper, Tim Blake Nelson, and Jeffrey Wright, "Syriana" was produced by Clooney's own 'Section Eight' production house, and will be distributed (on November 23rd) by Warner Bros.

It's quite sad that I know this movie as "the film that Clooney got fat for" but it actually sounds pretty good!

Got fat and hurt himself for, but I do like Clooney, Cooper, Nelson, Peet, and Damon. I'll definitely go see it.
