Farrell Has Pride, Glory and a Pretty Solid Ensemble

New Line seems to be building quite an impressive little ensemble for their multi-generational police drama "Pride and Glory," and TV starlet Lake Bell is only the newest addition.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Lake Bell is in negotiations to star opposite Colin Farrell in "Pride and Glory," New Line Cinema's generational drama about a family of police officers being directed by Gavin O'Connor. Ed Norton, Nick Nolte, Samantha Morton and Noah Emmerich also have been cast in the movie, which goes before cameras in February in New York.

Written by O'Connor and Joe Carnahan, "Pride' revolves around a three-generation family of officers torn apart by a corruption scandal. Bell will play Megan, who is married to tough cop Jimmy Egan (Farrell). When she discovers her husband's complicity in a police corruption scandal that her brother (Norton) is investigating, she must choose between her husband and her family."

Yes, because short actors shouldn't be allowed to step in front of the camera. Shame on those casting directors! As for him not having charisma, I'd argue that he does. For a good example of this, watch Tigerland.

Colin Farrel has charisma, but it is taking him a long while to find that one role that wins everyone over. Tigerland was great, and later on he was good in A Home at the End of The World, but beyond that, he hasn't done much to impress. I am looking forward to The New World alot though.
