You gotta be kidding... the last century's King Kong looked more convincing in stop motion than this animated skull ! The short clip does no justice... what was Nic smokin before signing this on... !!!!!!!

Weak CGI...
I agree, the CGI looks lames... like some kid with Photoshop did this. Also, Nicholas Cage has lost his edge..... last good movie was probably Con Air. Maybe brad Pitt or someone with a tougher personna would've pulled this off.

terrible terrible. nic cage is too old (just look at him) and the CGI looked terrible. im sure it wont look like that come 2007, but why put out this lame video if you cant show off what the movie will look like? ugh

CGI
You should realize that that the CGI has been rushed for the trailer. The movie doesn't open until 2007. I guarantee they will look alot better in a year. It's unfortunate that they realeased a teaser trailer so early because now people will think the movie sucks because of it

if this is a one-shot for cage, meaning he dies and the spirit returns in a sequel, a la the crow, then perhaps a younger actor will get to wear the leather.

for now, it cage. get over it.
did my complaining about farm-girl jennifer garner in tye role of elektra stop them from casting her TWICE in the role? no.
it'll be fun. cage'll have fun in the role rather than collecting the paycheck like charlize admitted doing for aeon.
whateva!
it sucks for cage though, the pushed back deadline doesn't help his floundering career. i agree with apache718 with the fact that he's done nothing to further it.

floundering?
I mean wasn't it Cage that helped turn National Treasure into the success it shouldn't have been. No one had expectations like that for the movie. The Weather Man and Lord of War were of course duds at the box office, but I think that was Cage experimenting. Those aren't mainstream roles he was pursuing there. I don't see his career going anywhere anytime soon.

What they really need to do is not make this movie. You gotta be kidding me.

I live in Melbourne and was watching the shoot with interest.
To tell the truth, I was surprised that Nick Cage was cast for this role. He's a pretty good actor but he's had mixed success in action roles.

I think this would've been better going to someone else. Can't say who though - at one stage I thought maybe Keanu Reeves, Pierce Brosnan or that guy from Smallsville. Maybe Michael Madsden. Its need to be someone rough around the edge with a bit of soul. Maybe someone can come up with someone better.

The CGI was pretty crap I have to say. I was wondering why they need to re-edit the thing.

I think it would've also been good if Tarantino directed this one. It would've been interesting to see how he would've dealt with the character.

If Nick Cage wants to do a comic character, I really think he's better suited to either a bad guy role (Carnage maybe?) or maybe a less "super" type character.
No one has made a Nick Fury move yet?

I don't see why they had to push the release so far back. What was wrong with releasing it at Halloween?

i already said that the CGI probably isnt the final because it doesnt come out until 2007, BUT, thats no excuse. this footage was what, 10 seconds long? with the CGI coming in for the second half. I think whomever is doing the CGI for this movie could of at least come up with 5 sec worth of close to a finalized CGI look for Ghost Rider. Why reveal something that looks like crap thats only going to get fans and moviegoers angry? bad move on thier part in my opinion. they should have waited until the summer of next year to show any sort of FOOTAGE from this movie. spidey 3 will kick ghost rider's ass, hands down.
