Trailer Bulletin: Keeping Up With the Steins
by Scott Weinberg | March 23, 2006

Sheesh, it seems like every two weeks we have another Bar Mitzvah movie to contend with, but this "Keeping Up With the Steins" has me intrigued for two reasons. 1. I actually had a Bar Mitzvah, and 2. The Miramax comedy stars Jeremy Piven, Larry Miller, Daryl Hannah, and Cheryl Hines. Check out the trailer right here.

"After attending a neighbor’s over the top Bar Mitzvah celebration, high-powered Hollywood agent Adam Fiedler, played by Jeremy Piven, determined to pull out all the stops, and have the most extravagant celebration ever seen, for his shy, insecure son Benjamin."

The flick's directed by Scott (son of Garry) Marshall, which explains all the Judaism. And hey look, it's Jami Gertz! Good to see her onscreen again.

"Keeping Up With the Steins," which used to be called "Lucky 13," opens in limited release on May 12th.

I'm down with anything that has Piven in it.

Me too. I just hope the kid from Spy Kids is better in this than he was in the last two Spy Kids movies.
