Trailer Bulletin: United 93

Paul Greengrass' 9/11 thriller recently underwent a name change. Previously known as "Flight 93," the Universal production is now "United 93," which is kind of old news, but here's a brand-new trailer to argue about.

"Presented in real time, United 93 tracks the story of the doomed, hijacked airliner that crashed in a Pennsylvania field on September 11, 2001, and the heroic efforts of its crew and passengers."

Paul Greengrass' previous films include "Bloody Sunday" and "The Bourne Supremacy."

Sure to be a controversial film, "United 93" opens on April 28th.

firstly, what happened to the indians was a tragedy. Second, there have been lots of movies about indians and what happened to them. I loved Dances with Wolves. Thirdly, what happened to the indians was inevitable. If the US didn't take their land, someone else would have. Maybe Spain. Or France. Or Britian. That's the way the world works, especially back then. I'm not saying it's right, but that's the reality. You think major nations are going to ignore an overwhelming abundance of natural resources that could change the face of their country because some nomadic people who don't even recognize land ownership are living there? People are too greedy and lack self restraint to allow that to happen

Do you guys not fathom to see this movie? A movie about 4"40" or however many strangers that have been given the same fate join together and try to live and what they have to do in order to save others besides themselves. I have to say, it looks better from what I know of "World Trade Center" with Oliver Stone at the helm.

This movie will def get some attention and I am rooting for it, since Greengrass is at the helm.

I hate conspiracy theorists. you know, people who come to conclusions based more on their own assumptions rather than facts.

And even if it turns out the plane WAS shot down, that doesn't change the fact that the passengers stormed the cockpit and tried to take back control.

I guess it's Hollywood thinks it has a better chance for a return on their investments with these kind of movies than, say, ENTERTAINMENT. Videogames(or at least interactive entertainment) are looking better and better to others that haven't played much before...

Dances with Wolves? How about a movie based on actual history instead of an idealized "noble savage" perspective, or a little bit of real history!

yes the events were completely fictional, but the movie did capture the injustice that was done to the american indian, and did an excellent job of humanizing them.

It's all very simple.

9/11 was an inside job. It was orchestrated by criminal elements withing our own government who needed a catalyst for a war in the middle east.

It was a black-op, carried out with military precision, with the sole purpose of creating a permanent state of terror and fright, which has been used to motivate us to support a war we normally would not.

Please do not call me insane, stupid, or suggest that I am wearing a tin-foil hat. Such claims only make you look juvenille and naive.

The evidence speaks for itself.

"Our own government" is incapable of "military precision". I'm not saying I disagree with you, but you may want to use different terms.

We spend $40 billion a year on our defense budget. The government is most certainly capable of military precision. What they are uncapable of is pulling something like this off without leaving a steaming trail of money and evidence.

Go into the rabbit hole. I dare you. The evidence is so overwhelming, so blatant, so obvious, that you'll feel foolish for even accepting the ficticious "official story" for even a second.

Why don't we start with WTC building 7?

I don't know about this argument, but I think this movie is being made way to soon. Also I don't like watching movies where we don't really know what happened. Even though the movie "The Perfect Storm" was a good movie, we don't really know what happened out there, or up there on Flight 93 so HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE TRUTH, I realize passengers talked to family by cellphone, but who says this guy or this woman overtook the terrorists since they all died, right? To me this is where hollywood starts making propoganda lies to make a dramatic affect, and even though its good cinema, it misleads people.

This will just develop more hatred in people, not celebrate those passengers lives.

I agree that this movie is being made too soon, not necessarily because of time but because issues stemming from 9/11 are nowhere near being resolved. Even a decision on the memorial at the WTC hasn't been finalized yet, and they're already making movies based on 9/11. It seems feasible that Hollywood could really change events (because of the limited knowledge of what really happened) on that flight just to make the movie more dramatic and patriotic, and kind of exploit people's feelings about 9/11 to get more profits.
