William H. Macy Elects to Visit "House of Re-Animator"
The creators of the original "Re-Animator" are getting back together to do a 4th chapter. This one will be called "House of Re-Animator," and it will star William H. Macy as a dead president brought back to zombie-life by lunatic doctor Herbert West.
According to Fangoria (a.k.a. The Gorehound Bible), "House of Re-Animator" will reunite director Stuart Gordon, producer Brian Yuzna, screenwriter Dennis Paoli, and leading man Jeffrey Combs, all of whom collaborated on the original "Re-Animator," which is a blue ribbon horror classic if ever there was one.
Find it unlikely that Mr. William H. Macy would sign on for a tongue-in-cheek splatter sequel? Well, he recently starred in the David Mamet adaptation "Edmond," which was directed by (you guessed it) Stuart Gordon, so the guys probably became good pals.
And what's a silly little horror flick between pals?

on May 17 2006 08:13 AM This is good news. I interviewed Stuart Gordon two years ago and he had mentioned this would be coming as this was something he was thinking about prior to the 04 election. I have the link below. It says 06 posting as that is when I posted it to the new site layout from the old ht (Reply to this) |
