"Heathers" Creators Reteam for Indie "Sex"
by Scott Weinberg | June 02, 2006

Fans of the dark comedy classic known as "Heathers" should be pleased to learn that screenwriter Daniel Waters and leading lady Winona Ryder are re-teaming to deliver "Sex and Death 101," a dark romantic comedy that deals with email, assassins, and (of course) sex.

From The Hollywood Reporter: "Ryder has signed on to star as a feminist vigilante who becomes an urban folk hero in "Sex and Death 101," which Waters wrote and is directing. The story follows a man (Simon Baker) whose life is upended by a mysterious e-mail containing the 101 names of every woman he has had sex with and, eerily, every woman he will have sex with in the future. He is stopped in his tracks when he meets Ryder, a femme fatale who targets men guilty of sex crimes against women."

Julie Bowen and Dash Mihok are also on board.

Waters' previous films (post-"Heathers") include "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane," "Hudson Hawk," "Batman Returns," "Demolition Man," and "Happy Campers."
