Four New Faces Join Jack Black's "Rewind"
by Scott Weinberg | August 18, 2006
Blog Article | Discuss Article
Summary

One percolating project that's really caught my eye is called "Be Kind Rewind," not just because it stars the generally amusing Jack Black, but also because it's being directed by Michel Gondry ("Eternal Sunshine"). And if the star, the director, and the concept weren't interesting enough, the flick is now cobbling together a solid supporting cast. Back to Article

"The friends then re-create and refilm every movie that the store's only loyal customer decides to rent."

That one sentence got be all jazzed about this movie. How many other films can get you excited with one sentence? What a great concept, and what a great vehicle for a montage of movie "parodies." Opening night for me.

I love quirky "only in the movies" alternate reality concepts, especially when they come out as awesome as Eternal Sunshine. I'm excited even without Kaufman.

This is going to be awesome!!!

Jack Black's one of my favorites already; can you just imagine him playing Rambo or them recreating "Friday" with Jack Black as Ice Cube's character and Mos as Chris Tucker's character?! LOL

Who knows what this one loyal customer rents... The possibilities are endless and the acclaim for this movie will be endless.

Dude, where do you live? $9.75 is ridiculous, but I think I'd still pay that much to see this. Sounds hilarious.

I think it sounds awsome, and I like the addition of Glover, hopefully Def does not use the same winy voice he used for 16 Blocks, and why did Dunst drop out?

16 blocks . . . but that's not important right now. mos def showed his comedy chops quite well in hitchhiker's guide to the galazy.
