Prosper761 writes: on Sep 05 2006 09:59 AM Please, stop these idiots in Hollywood from making movies based on TV shows that were godawful in the first place! Did "Bewitched" and "The Dukes of Hazard" teach them nothing? (Or maybe they are un-teachable). (Reply to this) |

dracus writes: on Sep 05 2006 10:21 AM Hollywood must be getting some kind of a tax break from the IRS for producing movies out of television shows. That's about the only reason I can think of for its persistence in making such crap. (Reply to this) |

Now it's dark writes: on Sep 05 2006 12:28 PM Sequel All the cast is still alive except for Hannibal, who should be played by Anthony Hopkins, not Willis. Make it twenty years later, and have it exactly the same in style, tone, and believability. (Reply to this) |

South_park300 writes: on Sep 05 2006 01:01 PM like someone said before, if this HAD to be made, Willis isn't a bad choice. This MAY have potential as a movie, just depends on what kind of movie they are going for. I doubt this will be another Bewitched or Dukes of Hazard. (Reply to this) |

wilkiedriver writes: on Sep 05 2006 02:04 PM How the hell are they going to make an action movie with no violence? The TV show was void of any violence (one of those post-Vietnam things). If it was funny like the show but bad-ass rockin' believable violence....then I will give it a try. Where's my Airwolf movie? (Reply to this) |

Flim Springfield writes: on Sep 05 2006 04:24 PM I assume that releasing DVDs of old shows isn't enough to keep the trademark in use, they have to actually make something new, that's why we get these movies. And no one but Mr. T can play B.A... NO ONE. (Reply to this) |

UselessRob writes: on Sep 05 2006 07:30 PM Lame Great, now I have the theme tune stuck in my head! Da dada da! Da da daaaa! Once again, if people stopped going to see this crap, they'd stop making it. But look at the Dykes of Hazzard. It was a crime against humanity, and yet people turned out by the buttload to see it so now the no brainers will churn out more and more of these things simply because they make money. I'm sure we've got 2 more Hazzard movies coming, and then another 6 direct to DVD. Oh the humanity. (Reply to this) |

JackHorner1979 writes: on Sep 05 2006 09:36 PM In reply to this comment (#843714) Gonna have to go with Ving Rhames on this one for B.A In fact the cast as I see it if Willis is cast: Sam Rockwell: Howling Mad Murdock Timothy Olyphant:Templeton Peck (Faceman) Ving Rhames: BA Baracus Of course I'm more inclined to shoot the creators of this film. These ideas don't work. Stephen J should keep his stinky paws off this, and in order for it to work, is to darken the film. (Reply to this) |

Circe Prankster writes: on Sep 06 2006 11:30 AM As long as we're mining 80's TV shows for movie ideas, why not make a film of "The Greatest American Hero"? Owen Wilson in spandex trying awkwardly to fly above suburban homes and constantly crashing into someone's azalea bushes? Sing along with me: "Believe it or not, I'm walking on air, I never thought I could feel so free-ee-eeee . . ." I also think "The Love Boat" would make for excellent movie watching. I believe Charo is still available for the requisite coochie-coochie. Captain Stubing - now THERE's a role for Bruce Willis . . . (Reply to this) |

Bulla writes: on Sep 06 2006 05:04 PM Bruce would suck as Hannibal If money/schedules/current events/interest from the actor Hannibal - Mel Gibson Murdock - Jim Carrey B.A - Ving Rhames Face - tough one, if this were done years ago id have gone for Val Kilmer, but other than that, some random pretty boy new comer will do. MattyDaddy74 writes: on Sep 06 2006 10:54 PM A Team isn't a bad idea....... It could really work if the script is solid. Bruce Willis is a great choice for Hannibal. Who else could really fill that part? Gene Hackman is too old, otherwise he'd be a better choice. Now, if Hollywood doesn't screw up the rest of the casting, it'll be alright. I agree with the choice of Ving Rhames as B.A. Barracus. Rhames can definitely play bad ass!! Steve Carell might not be a bad choice for Murdoch, but if Jim Carrey would be available, get him!!! He would have the same charisma that Dwight Schultz brought to that role. And please, no Wilsons, Stillers, Vaughns or Ferrells playing Face. That would suck. It has to be someone who can be a bad ass and those four, I just don't see as bad asses. Maybe Matthew McConaughey? Who knows? Not sure what type of storyline you could use. I'm sure the terrorist angle will be explored. As well as a "Punisher"-like script where they avenge the death of a friend. I do know the TV show was popular back in the day. If the right people are involved, "The A-Team" could be a box office juggernaut!!! (Reply to this) |

taran72 writes: on Sep 07 2006 09:13 AM Do any of you even bother reading previous posts? Rockwell is awesome as Murdoch, and Olyphant is almost as perfect as Face. Throw in Rhames as B.A. and Willis as Hannibal, and the cast is DONE. I'm not really sure why this is even debatable. Carrell? Gibson? Maybe you should watch the show before chiming in. Thanks.
