"Aqua Teen Hunger Force: The Movie" Coming Soon
If I told you there was a movie version of Adult Swim's "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" coming soon, you probably wouldn't be all that surprised. But what if I told you it was hitting theaters in March AND featured the voice talents of Bruce Campbell??
From Variety: "The 86-minute pic, written, produced and directed by co-creators Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis, marks First Look's initial theatrical foray into animation as well as Adult Swim's first feature under the Williams Street banner ... The film centers on the origins of "Hunger Force" characters Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake and an immortal piece of exercise equipment threatening the balance of galactic peace." Heck, I've only seen 5 or 6 episodes of "ATHF" and even I want to see this movie!

dagreenman18 writes: on Jan 03 2007 01:43 PM they said it would happen, but i didn't belive it. if this works, we could see a Family Guy movie. How? Fox is owned by Turner which owns Williams Street. this vould even convince them to do a Venture Bros. movie, or the single most desired fan-people movie in history: Futurama. :) plus i totally want to see this movie. Darkness My Old Friend writes: on Jan 03 2007 04:22 PM I saw this movie a couple months back, and as of the version we saw it most certainly couldn't sustain itself. It has about... 2 episodes of funny material, leaving the last 50 minutes to be at best not funny, and at worst totally painful. I'd love for them to be able to salvage this, and they have probably made an effort since I'm sure the Williams street kids were aware of the awkward silence by movie's end in that theater, but I don't know if it can be saved. And I'm saying that as an Aqua Teen fan. (Reply to this) |

Defmonkey writes: on Jan 03 2007 07:53 PM In reply to this comment (#852180) Say that to Serenity. And I also have my doubts about this movie as well. This movie has been pimped for over a year (I think). I do remember AOTS spots on the ATHF movie and that was back when Sarah Lane was still co-hosting it. Hell I thought they announced that it was supposed to come out last year on Vets day or one of those national holidays that we celebrate our country. I'm not gonna put a final verdict on it yet or even believe the pvt screenings saying that the movie is bad. I will be patient and wait. Watch the film and give my final analysis. As any self producing thinker should do. (Reply to this) |
