Surfing Vampires in "Lost Boys 2"?
There's been talk of a "Lost Boys" sequel almost as long as there's been a "Lost Boys." But the thing never managed to get made, for one boring reason or another. But now, thanks to the magic of straight-to-video sequelizing, it sure looks like we're gonna get one now. Probably a silly one, too.
According to IESB.net, we know only two things: 1. WB allegedly has plans to do their "Lost Boys" sequel as a direct-to-video release, which doesn't automatically mean it will stink, but it's not exactly a harbinger of great expectations, now is it? And 2. The plot will somehow involve "surfer vampires," which doesn't automatically mean it will stink, but it sure does sounds kinda silly.
Since this project is still firmly stuck in the pre-pre-production gossip stages, that's all the information we have thus far, but as soon as we get some concrete info (as in: if the movie's actually happening -or- if Corey Haim and Corey Feldman decide to sign on for another spin) we'll be sure to let you know.

on Jan 16 2007 05:47 AM Amazing how people with money can take something that worked, made some money, and then completely piss all over it until it stinks. Does anyone in La La-land have a brain anymore? (Reply to this) |

on Jan 16 2007 06:56 PM I'm surprised we're not getting a remake, or a reboot, or whatever. But a pointless sequel is just as bad. It seems almost every movie has to be one of the 3. However, it could be good to wheel out the Corey's and have a good laugh at how fat n desperate they've become! Or is that too harsh? (Reply to this) |
![]() on Jan 16 2007 07:06 PM the lost boys is probably the best vampire movie i have ever seen. Either way this movie dosen't need a sequel please don't ruin a classic it's perfectly fine as it is...........and sufin' vampires :S what the hell. All i'm saying is straight to DVD movies (ecpseically strait to dvd sequels of classic movies) are low budget and are rushed and are just plain old shit so i don't think they should make this movie and seeing by what everybody else says looks like nobody else does either. Hopefully those dumass hollywood makers will realzie that this is probably one of the worst ideas for any classic movies of the 80s and forgo on this retarded project, like come on seriously that's like making a repo man 2 (which i hope they never do because i will seiriously kill them). on Jan 17 2008 05:52 PM So much potential if done right but Warner Bros is just pissing it away. You would think they were doing it on purpose for some reason. If they just had half a brain they could pull it off. And what the hell is the deal with Haim not being in it. He could only help the movie and not hurt it. The movie could start off with Feldman and Haim at the comic book store. They could be both chillin and then some vampires come in and kill them. Ok...that's it. I'm getting into directing movies I can't stand it anymore. (Reply to this) |
