Sigourney Weaver Checks Out James Cameron's "Avatar"
James Cameron had some casting news to announce, so he called AICN to help get the word out there. Seems that Sigourney Weaver, in line with earlier reports, has joined Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana in Cameron's "Avatar."
AICN's Harry spends a little time trying to explain all of the newest technical toys that Mr. Cameron will be working with on "Avatar," but whenever I read that stuff my eyeballs just sort of glaze over. Suffice to say that the flick will come bearing ultra-mega-state of the art movie magic. Beyond that, I'll just wait for the DVD featurettes.
What I found more interesting is that the following actors have just signed on for Cameron's epic: In addition to the newly-announced Ms. Weaver, we'll also get Wes Studi, Peter Mensah, Joel Moore, and CCH Pounder.
Expect "Avatar" some time before 2010.

on Feb 15 2007 11:03 AM honestly i couldn't be less excited. the plot synopsis sounds kinda ridiculous (if i read it correctly) and a gajillion dollars does not a good movie make. especially when the thing they're hyping up about it is its new special effects? "come see our movie, its got explosions!" (Reply to this) |

on Feb 15 2007 03:17 PM Who are they kidding? "Avatar" is just a smoke screen for the REAL movie they're making: ALIEN 5!!! (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 17 2007 08:13 AM So what? I checked out AVATAR also... So what? I checked out "Avatar" also, and James Cameron told me he'd make the movie, only if I AGREED to portray the main-role. He offered me 23 Million for the job. I said I needed to get back to my cat back home-- "ramrockbo"-- and after that I'd think about it. (Reply to this) |
