on Apr 27 2007 01:03 PM yes maybe 5 to 7 shreks is a little bit excessive, but hey it has a humongous fanbase and they are pretty darn funny who knows? maybe the actors and screenwriters can keep it fresh 4 that long. I hope so, if it plans to make a lot of money like the first two. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 28 2007 06:20 AM In reply to this comment (#862893) Maybe if they're reffering to possible spin-offs then it's fine. But that's also doubtful. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Apr 29 2007 05:37 PM wow......... okay......... they are really going too far............ six shrek movies (one being a spin off) and a shrek christmas special........... okay so as far as animated comedys like this go shrek 1 wasan't bad sure the music was shit but it was entertaning enough ecspecially for the little ones but shrek 2 was crap....... the soriest excuse for a sequel and now they want 4 more shreks plus a stupid christmas tv thing all with antonio bandears voicing......... this is too far hopefully by "popular demand" shrek 3 will be the last one and they will do something worthwhile that is creative and original with their money. on Apr 29 2007 06:46 PM I don't have a problem with 5 Shreks, but they will have to spread them apart. We all learned how disappointing it can be to have two back-to-back movies (ie: The Matrix 2 & 3) in too short a period. If they get good scripts then why not? "Star Trek" did quite well through 10 movies, although a serious loss of originality in the last two sucked the life out of the series for some people. Hopfully # 11, due in 2008 (a six-year gap), will be better. The "Bond" series has had like 20 entries, and is still going strong thanks to Daniel Craig. "Harry Potter" is still a phenomenon, though much credit goes to the books they're based on. It is true that most series go on too long and lose impact each time out: "Superman"; "Jaws"; "Batman"; "Halloween"; "Friday the 13th"; "Lethal Weapon"; "The Omen"; and "Psycho"; etc. But think about this: New additions or versions of "Superman," "Batman," have been fairly successful. "Rocky Balboa" did surprisingly well last year. "Live Free or Die Hard" is coming out, along with "Indy 4" soon, "Star Trek 11," "Rambo," a possible direct-to-video "Jaws" and a new "Halloween" are all in the works. I saw the trailer for "Halloween" and I think it will suck, but it's still there. The public loves their favorite characters and will always want to see them again even when the film-makers forget what made us love them in the first place. (Reply to this) |

on May 01 2007 12:16 PM Hmmm... 5? Plus Puss In Boots' own film and a holiday film too? They'll have to be geniuses to pull this off ... I lovedthe 1st and second, and I'll definitely be going to see the 3rd and any sequels that follow, hopefully they will be as good as the first 2 ... (Reply to this) |

on May 02 2007 07:31 AM i won't see 3 or 4 or 5... come on stop milking it out... and please tell me there is someone else out there that thought the donkey was annoying as shit, not funny, just annoying as shit...The rest of the movie(s) not bad.. but the donkey's got to go.. seems like everyone i talk to disagrees with me on that.. Could we at least write a scipt for Eddie Murphey that is funny and where he's not yelling every line he has to say.... (Reply to this) |

on May 02 2007 07:44 AM Also, the green shrek pizza merchandising crap has to go too... i don't want to eat green shrek pizza or cola or use green shrek toopaiste or the freaking toy where it's shreks head and you get to pull out green teeth! shrek shrek shrek... get the big green bile factory off the food boxes! Look kids, when you eat your pizza you get to think about a smelly loudmouth donkey and a green mucus looking guy... and they freaking have shrek ketchup too... when will it stop!? (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 02 2007 01:20 PM The first one was good, but it doesn't have much re-watch value. I saw it once, and that was enough for me. I wasn't really interested enough to see the second one; the only character I was curious about was Puss-In-Boots. I have NO interest whatsoever in this next one. And I REALLY have no interest in the next thirty-seven that come out. (Reply to this) |
