Campbell Open to Evil Dead 4 and Bubba Nosferatu
by Fred Topel | May 05, 2007
Blog Article | Discuss Article
Summary

Even though he's in charge of the massive "Spider-Man" franchise and in the running for films like "The Hobbit," Sam Raimi always says he wants to make another "Evil Dead" film with Bruce Campbell. Campbell isn't quite as touched by that as one might think, and may suggest that it's not in the director's best interest to do so at the moment. Back to Article

It would almost be worth Spiderman failing miserably if it brought us Evil Dead 4.

Spiderman 4, The Hobbit or Evil Dead ? No brainer; time for Raimi to throw off the cobwebs, forget about Middle Earth and get back to doing what he does best.

Bruce Campbell > Any other actor Raimi has ever worked with

Evil Dead is amazing, and we need another. As long as it can live up to the originals, especially 2.

Campbell's cameo in Spiderman 3 was probably the only good part of that movie.

is it just me, or was that whole movie meant to be a joke? the musical montages....wtf????

yes campbell was perfect in part three. "i'm french and also romantic" lol

evil dead 4 must be made even if only the internet geek will see it. it's just too good to not do it.

maybe campbell should be playing a old ash that works as a fake french waiter and must battle evil.

that would be cool, an older, grizzled-but-still-a-smartass Ash taking on the Deadites.

Maybe Sam should've worked on Evil Dead 4 before tackling Spiderman 3. it probably would have been better than it is. Spiderman 3 let me down. Big Time.

Bubba Nosforatu is a HELL YES IN MY BOOK!!!!!! Also, bring back Black JFK. He was awesome.

After seeing Spider-Man 3, corny Bruce Campbell movies is what Raimi ought to be doing from now on, he definitely should not even touch The Hobbit!

Bubba Nosferatu - yes. Black JFK will have to be played by a new actor though if they plan to bring that character back. Ossie Davis passed away a year or so. I agree, too, he was awesome.

Please god, i watched spidey 3 and it was so completely obvious that Raimi is done with that. It was like army of darkness in the number of randomly dispersed jokes that appeared in that movie and the inclusion of his children in that movie makes me believe that he just doesn't care about that franchise anymore. He may get paid more than any other director ever but the evil dead is by far his magnopus and a forth would onlly add to how amazing that legandary is. Please god do it sam (after bubba nosferatu, of course)

From what i heard about this awhile back, it sounds like bubba nosferatu would probably be a prequel, starring campbell as a younger (though still past his prime) elvis. Therefore the black JFK character wouldn't be necessary, although i would hope they could come up with a character just as good as JFK.

As for spiderman 3, I enjoyed the first hour or so, and Campbells cameo, which was his best so far in the series. Other than that I thought the movie was hilarious, and not in a good way. You could have a drinking game based around how often the characters cry or tear up. Half the audience was laughing their ass off by the end of the movie, while the other half was yelling at them to "shut the fuck up". Seems like this movie is really dividing people. You either love SP3 or hate it, sort of like how you either think xmen 2 was the best, or xmen 3. I'm going to have to go with the latter on the first question, the former on the second.

Also, anyone else notice how much the actors seem to be, well, not very ecstatic about the spiderman series? If they aren't even enjoying themselves anymore, then I think now would be a good time to stop.

campbell is the man
the evil dead trilogy is just simply amazing, but i do not feel like army of darkness is an ending. I need to see an older (like old man old) ash take one last stad against the deadites. A self sacrafice to destroy them once and for all. He is just so bad ass that i am sure they could pull that off in a great way to end the series.

Bubba ho-tep was an awsome movie. I would like to see the sequel happen

Yes! Bring on Evil Dead 4! Enough with the Spiderman stuff for now and I don't think Sam's the right director for The Hobbit. I loved Army of Darkness and I want another! It's been too damn long! These movies are classics. So, if you're in need of an Evil Dead type film, (or, at least that's the way I viewed this film),it's called Dead Alive. I was the craziest "horror" film I've seen in years. Though I found myself laughing through most of it.

ok first off people Bruce Campbell is not gonna be in Evil Dead 4.. he already said that. Second Evil Dead will be **** without Bruce Campbell if Sam is gonna make Evil Dead 4 then he a ****ing dumb *** and will ruin the Evil Dead series.
You need to stick to the classics. Remaking of the movies nowadays is god awful. Sam needs to re think what he is doing and not make Evil Dead 4. what the point of making Evil Dead 4? Bruce is the only person who can do that movie and no other dumb *** can take his place.
