Jamie Pressly Happy to See "DOA: Dead or Alive" Buried
Summary
You'd think a big budget video game movie starring the female lead from a hit TV show would just coast into theaters. But since Jamie Pressly made "DOA: Dead or Alive" years ago, it has shifted release dates only to constantly be pulled. That's fine by her, as she even apologizes to anyone who managed to see it at a press screening. Back to Article

People should know about this! Directors and producers and, dare I say it, distributors should know about this! I'm stunned. (Reply to this) |

FLYmeatwad writes: on May 08 2007 01:34 PM So Is it coming out? So it says it's buried, does that mean it's not coming out at all? I thought the 22nd was the release date. I just want to see Jann Lee whoop up on some ladies. WATCHA! (Reply to this) |

FireflyFan4evr writes: on May 08 2007 02:10 PM Just one of the hundreds of films that should be shelved. I'm at least glad this one has met that fate. Too bad it didn't happen for Date Movie and Crank. (Reply to this) |

PhreazerBurn writes: on May 08 2007 03:37 PM Oh well I actually saw this a while ago. It's a fun movie in the way that really bad action films are "fun" for some people like me. If you enjoyed Mortal Kombat or most Van Damme movies, you might just want to try to see this. Forget Jaime Pressly (she has seen better days). Sarah Carter is a goddess. (Reply to this) |

sharpless writes: on May 08 2007 04:09 PM In reply to this comment (#864403) And you're an ass posting comments on an internet movie blog. I think she wins this round. Oh, and you're apparently damned blind, too, as Jaime Pressly has an immensely hot body, regardless of any "bird-like" characteristics she might possess. But please try to think before you post - preferably with your upper head and NOT your lower head. Thanks. (Reply to this) |

aconline writes: on May 08 2007 04:28 PM You can order it off of Amazon.co.uk in a few weeks. It will be Region 2, but if you have the means, and have to see it......I'll pass (Reply to this) |

Jen Yamato writes: on May 08 2007 07:01 PM I've seen it (on DVD) and I'll say it's a fun watch. It'll be interesting to see how the Weinsteins handle marketing for the theatrical release, after so long. Sarah Carter is an underrated actress and Pressly ain't bad either; Valance is very watchable but Malthe is just meh. (Reply to this) |

sideburnz writes: on May 08 2007 08:36 PM c'mon! DOA is a fantastically cheezy good time, with some more than decent fight scene's from director Cory Yuen of Transporter fame. i saw it on google video a while back. (Reply to this) |

VenomGGXX writes: on May 08 2007 08:50 PM It was just ok, they screwed up Hitomi, she wasnt even in it for longer than a minute, and Ayane was wasted. If you have low expectiations, you'll be mildly entertained (Reply to this) |

jeremyd4 writes: on May 09 2007 12:40 AM Really terrible plot, but fun to watch when drunk. The two blonde girls other than Jaime (who I find weird looking too) are Holly Valance and I forgot the other's name but her character is Helena - they are stunning!!! Best of all there's a fight scene between the two in the rain or near water, if I remember correctly. That scene is the highllight of the movie and it's actually well filmed too surprisingly. However you could save a lot of time and money and just watch that bit on youtube. (Reply to this) |

spyanotherway writes: on May 09 2007 03:38 AM In reply to this comment (#864417) DOA is awesome! Come on now you know just by looking at the trailer that its one of those movies that knows its not serious. Its lots of fun. I bought the dvd a few months ago cos i missed out seeing it at the movies. The fight scenes and cinematography are great and yes the acting is a bit hammy at times but jamie pressley does stand out, shes great fun to watch, as are the other female leads. (Reply to this) |

frogleg writes: on May 09 2007 04:17 AM I think it's kind of nice to see somebody being honest about their own movie before it's released (instead of 20 years later). I like Jamie Pressly. I remember when they announced she was going to be in "My Name is Earl", I thought they just cast a pretty face, but I've been consistently surprised at how funny she is. (Reply to this) |

jarek writes: on May 09 2007 05:13 AM I actually liked this one in a way. Sure, it's literally a helmet wearing full on special needs kind of movie, but it knows it is, and it's fun. I laughed hard throughout. And the choreography and fight scenes are consistently inventive. (Reply to this) |

Vikingus writes: on May 09 2007 05:27 AM In reply to this comment (#864418) it's not funny, it's cheesy and I guess in a good way hehe if there is such a way. This is a movie you wanna see if there's really nothing on TV and you're about to cut yourself from boredom. (Reply to this) |
