"Indiana Jones 4" to Begin Production Next Week
by Scott Weinberg | May 30, 2007
Discuss Article
Yep, next week. That's what George Lucas told a race-happy interviewer from Formula1.com.

"I plan to go to Indianapolis as well - if my schedule permits it, as I start shooting Indiana Jones IV next week. If the production is running as planned you will find me there."

So there you have it. By this time next week, Harrison Ford will be wearing the fedora somewhere in this country. Neat.

In related news, "Indiana Jones 4" is officially a lock to be next year's highest-grossing movie, says Scott Weinberg of RottenTomatoes.com.

I too hope this is as awsome as the first 3. I do hope there is more of the Ark film style than the Crusade film. I loved last crusade, but thought the knight in the room let the ending go a bit silly. I want to see more stuff like traps, and rolling ball type areas, stick to that and they cant go wrong.

However, Biggest grossing movie of next year?

Could be, but it will be a Stand-off with The Dark Knight.

Indy v Batman, place youre bets !!!!!

I think if both Indy and Batman are both good movies which I fully expect them to be Indy will make more money simply because it appeals to a wider demographic. That said I think Dark Knight will make alot more money than Begins did simply because Begins was so awesome and has killer word of mouth going for it and won back a ton of fans lost after the Shumockery era.

Ahhhh the Shumockery era, ....... sad times indeed. I'm looking forward to the next Jones movie, but I'm affraid that they may try to phase out Harrison during the movie to try to pass the movie's focus to Shia LaBeouf, in which case it will lose major points in my book.

The new Batman movie will make more money. Indy will have a harder time winning over the fans and critics, being much harder type of movie to pull off well. Even if it's only above average, the critics will tear it apart due to it being such a large target, and the fans are going to have very high (probably too high) expectations.

This is high hopes but I would love for Indy 4 to knock Titanic out of the #1 of all-time. All I know is I'll be seeing this film at least 3 times so I'll do my part to help it get there.

I'm still very skeptical but what the hell, at least Karen Allen's probably in it.

Steven is directing.

And Elixer, there's no way in hell that they'll "pass the movie's focus to Shia LeBouf". Why on Earth would they do that? It's Indiana Jones for Christ's Sake!
