First "Iron Man" Cast Photo!
by Scott Weinberg | June 25, 2007
Discuss Article
The guys who are in charge of early marketing for Marvel's "Iron Man" have been keeping us pretty busy over the last few weeks. And now comes a rather cool new cast photo.

ComingSoon.net has a shot of the pic that first appeared in Entertainment Weekly. So go check it out. That's Terrence Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr., and a wonderfully creepy-looking Jeff Bridges on the right.

Nothing more than a little teaser for next summer's superhero flick of choice, but nifty all the same.

Good picture.
Everyone looking classy and hot-shot.

{Still, Would've been better if IronMan's reputation were not in the sewers currently, thanks to his "so wise" choices in Marvel's "Civil War"... but now I'm just being a complainer...}

I know what you mean, but I'm actually happy with what they are doing with him at the moment... I always wondered what it would be like if he just went on this power trip, then went into all out super villian mode for a while... He's my favorite hero, only because he has major personal flaws... He will snap out of if soon enough, but it is so entertaining right now... Did you read World War Hulk: Iron Man #1? It's f'n great....

I love how every movie site is posting this and getting excited, it's not a still it's a photo for the latest Entertainment Weekly, it's just like the hoopla over the picture of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, not a production still, although at least that one was on the set.

yeah, i saw this photo when i was reading the magazine on my break at work yesterday. i thought it was a nice cast shot. it was part of their Hot 100 or something like that. also on the list was Battlestar Galactica, more specifically Katee Sackhoff and Michael Hogan in recognition of their outstanding jobs as Starbuck and Colonel Tigh. i absolutely love the show, but i had to miss the last third of season three, and while i thought the article might contain some small spoilers or hints, i decided to read on anyways. big mistake. thanks EW for mentioning huge ass spoilers in the first sentence alone without any warning. maybe next time i'll know better. frak.

RDJ looks pretty sharp looking for a struggling alcoholic.

Usually she's pretty, but in the photo she just looks like a manly-girl. A very, manly-girl.

How in the name of Pete is that going to matter when people are going to flock to see this movie? Oh wait, that's right, IT WON'T.

That picture punched me in the face when I saw it.

Robert Downey Jr. was meant to play Tony Stark like Morgan Freeman was meant to play Nelson Mandela. Now we get to see both!

i think this is going to probably turn out to be a pretty good movie........ but a lot of my excitement is lost as i am still longing for both the dark knight trailer and the movie itself. I Just feel that it will go down in history as one of the best superhero movies ever made. Right now my favorite superhero movie is The Crow..... maybe dark knight could beat it.

Perhaps you should better acquaint yourself with the source material before tossing off vaguely cynical comments, as Tony Stark HAS (for the most part) managed to look "pretty sharp for a struggling [genius billionaire playboy]alcoholic" over the "lifespan" of the comic book(s).
