Iron Man Super Bowl Spot, Stills, Downloads Online!
Looks like Ol' Shell-Head is hopping on the marketing train.
If you missed the Super Bowl, you already know you missed one of the greatest championship games in NFL history -- not to mention an extended Iron Man spot. But never fear! The Internet is here!
And we aren't talking about some cobbled together fansite clip, or grungy YouTube video -- Marvel and Paramount have rolled out an expanded Iron Man website, including new stills, wallpapers and buddy icons, a list of characters, a synopsis, and -- but of course -- the Super Bowl spot in question. (Wanna see it in HD? No problem -- there's a link to an Apple-hosted hi-def version.)
If you didn't miss the game -- or the Iron Man spot -- then you probably already know it isn't the whiz-bang spectacular that many Iron fans were hoping for. But hey, we've still got a few months before the movie blasts into theaters -- and with a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, and Jeff Bridges, you can't go too far wrong. Right?

on Feb 05 2008 06:24 AM not sure if it was that great of a game...cept for the last few minutes. rather boring if you asked me but...i was doing something more entertaining never read the comics, just know the jist from the Ultimate Alliance game and one cartoon movie with Iron Man but...this looks frikkin sweet. this summer's movies finally look like they won't disappoint(unlike last year). this is definitely one of the few i'm looking forward to seeing but i'm not THAT pumped since Favreau has disappointed me before...with his(unspoken sequel to Swingers) Made flick. that sucked. this is still a step or two behind TDK... on Feb 05 2008 07:53 AM Remember. Tony Stark is an alcoholic anti-hero... if the film doesn't show this, it won't be faithful to the source material. And, I guess, it won't. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 05 2008 07:56 AM The tv spot was awesome, not as awesome as tdk trailer but still, awesome. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 05 2008 08:00 AM Wow...Iron Man just moved up quite a few notches on my 2008 movie list. :) TDK still tops all for me (except Indy 4), but that TV spot was really quite good and satisfying. "Yeah. I can fly." (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 05 2008 08:39 AM I wasn't expecting much out of Ironman except maybe a good performance out of Robert Downey Jr. but I was loving the trailer even with all the cgi. Doubt they'll go all dark with the alcohol dependence and all and they probably don't have to as that was definitely old school Ironman. (Reply to this) |

on Feb 05 2008 09:09 AM In reply to this comment (#1554831) Weicher, Jon Favreau said that Iron Man will be developed through a trilogy, and that his alcoholism will play a larger role in sequels. Even though Jon was in Daredevil I still believe he can make Iron Man faithful, accurate, and entertaining. It's just... you know... Daredevil. But he didn't direct that movie so whatever. on Feb 05 2008 10:46 AM the trailer was awesome and i read that in the sequels to follow it they'll explore stark's alcohol problems. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Feb 05 2008 11:46 AM the first comic I ever bought back in third grade was an Iron Man. I've had high hopes for this movie for some time, the trailers look like it'll be a lot of fun as it should be. At first I doubted Downey as Stark, but the more I see him in it, the more he seems to fit. (Reply to this) |
