Stallone Changes Direction for Rambo 5
Summary
Okay, so it turns out the fifth "Rambo" actually won't feature Stallone fighting a monster. According to new information directly from the Stallone Zone, the franchise's next sequel will follow a decidedly more traditional path. Back to Article

Bigbrother writes: on Nov 13 2009 04:45 AM In reply to this comment (#2560917) It kinda goes without saying that there's going to be blood in a Rambo movie. It's like saying there's going to be sex in a porno. I'd like to see him go back to more the First Blood style story. (Reply to this) |

Don't Tase Me Bro writes: on Nov 13 2009 04:51 AM In reply to this comment (#2560921) It's not a question of the efficacy of blood in a Rambo sequel as much as it's a question of the need for another Rambo film. (That was the subtext of my original post...) (Reply to this) |

De4ective Detectiv3 writes: on Nov 13 2009 05:04 AM Yeah, I thought Rambo 4 was completely unecessary. This one sounds more interesting because its actually supposed to take place on American soil, but I hope it is more than just a compilation of pointless killings. (Reply to this) |

Chris C. writes: on Nov 13 2009 05:13 AM I've said it before; I'd watch Rambo doing his taxes for 120 minutes so whateve the story is I'm in. I also think people misinterpreted what the direction he was going with the previous one. The way I understood it was he would be asked to help hunt down a prototype soldier. He was referring to him as a "feral beast" metaphorically, not literally. Bring it on either way. Thank you Stallone for making movies for guys like me in a hollywood obsessed with feminized vampires and chick action stars. (Reply to this) |

Gordon Franklin Terry Sr writes: on Nov 13 2009 06:22 AM With "The Monster" it sounded more like two movies in one--the overall story wouldn't hang together without a DUAL-LINEAR approach that would result in a 2 hour and 40 minute RAMBO movie. Both stories would come together in the last 15 minutes and it would cheapen the entire movie. RAMBO vs THE YETI . . . really bad. (Reply to this) |

cypress550 writes: on Nov 13 2009 08:52 AM this sounds so much better than that other assanine story line. thank god he changed the direction of it. (Reply to this) |

brandon s. writes: on Nov 13 2009 11:21 AM Wow...really? And how many millions will be wasted on this mindless nonsense? If I wanted to watch a washed up, out of shape actor trying to kill Mexicans I could just watch the Governor of California sit in his office. (Reply to this) |

Armond White Sucks writes: on Nov 13 2009 11:25 AM I was perfectly happy with Rambo 4. It's one of the better action films to be released in recent memory. Hollywood doesn't make good action movies anymore (unless it's a superhero film). If it's anything like Rambo 4, I will be happy. (Reply to this) |

Dave J. writes: on Nov 13 2009 12:03 PM If this new story involves the Mexican mafia the Cartels, they may retialiate in real life and get rid of Rambo all together. (Reply to this) |

MADDAZ writes: on Nov 13 2009 12:18 PM With you Armond. Rambo 4 was a good action film and movies like Die Hard 4 and Terminator Salvation could of used this kind of direction. I hope the next Rambo movie really turns it up a notch and goes ultra violent/action and if haters can't handle a movie like that, go watch Precious or New Moon. (Reply to this) |

High School With Money writes: on Nov 13 2009 01:49 PM In reply to this comment (#2560927) Maybe the "feral beast" is a chick. Ever thought that, eh? Coming next summer, RAMBO KILLS A GIRL! WITH A KNIFE! IN HER HOO-HAH!! (rated G) (Reply to this) |

Goondockian writes: on Nov 13 2009 02:53 PM Bring on Rambo and all the kick a$$ carnage that follows him. How can you not love these movies for the simple pleasure of watching a bunch of bad guys get blown to hell for an hour and half. These are pure fun action movies, and I think everyone needs a movie without a message every now and again. (Reply to this) |

rle4lunch writes: on Nov 13 2009 03:07 PM Senseless killings on the border? Color me RED! Maybe they could get Machete to come in for a cameo. (Reply to this) |

JRW1980 writes: on Nov 13 2009 04:41 PM I thought the newest Rambo was amazing. I am glad they are doing another and aren't going with the whole man/beast thing. Rambo is best when he is out slaughtering tons of people who deserve it. (Reply to this) |
