Well a movie that the critics totally bashed, yet I found it quite enjoyable. Which movie would it be? Well that would be Doogal. A funny little movie about a lovable... More

I haven't done this is awhile but in an effort to catch up on my movie reviews and my journal I'm lumping the latest movies I've watched together. And I feel guilty for doing so cause one is awesome and the rest are trash at it's feet.

HOLLOW MAN II
If you enjoyed the first Hollow Man, do not rent this one I repeat do not rent this one. I really liked the first one. I thought it was an original idea and entertaining. This one left alot to be desired.

It follows along the same lines as the last. The research was picked up after the first Hollow Man died. They tested the formula on a military man, Michael Griffin. (Christain Slater.) What they neglected to do was to give him the buffer. The military are involved but of course and are looking to make the perfect weapon. Without the buffer the test subject starts to go crazy and starts his own mission to obtain the buffer at all costs. He goes after the biologist that created the buffer. Det. Frank Turner (Peter Facinelli) is assigned to protect the biologist Dr. Maggie Dalton. (Laura Regan) Det. Turner ends up using the only weapon he has open which is to become a hollow man himself. Which hollow man will win?

I won't even begin to explain my boredom at this movie. It offered no twists or turns that I wasn't all ready expecting. The characters were like a page of paper, no dimension to them at all! The acting also was down right awful. The movie lacked alot and I won't even beginto explain what it lacked cause it would take a lot of time that is better spent on other movies. I think that they should have left well enough alone and not made a Hollow Man II. But then again Hollywood never seems to learn and keeps churning out mindless awful sequels to movies that no one spent any time to make. Skip it at the rental counter.

ha ha.. good thing you passed. I would have rather sat through Venom 3 or 4 times then watch them again.

I ABSOLUTELY agree on Rear Window.

I haven't seen the other two, but I guess I don't miss too much... :D

lol nope you sure didn't miss much. lol

I've always loved Hitchcocks movies, but each time I rewatch one I remember why I like his work so much. I never tire of watching his movies.

I LOVED L-O-V-E-D LOVED Rear Window. I think I should join the national Spelling Bee. Hitchcock is a master. Um the other two movies look... eh... meh... uh. Well they look awful. I'll just follow your advice.

ha ha... you'd win hands down in a spelling bee. :D

My advice would be well taken if you follow it. Man oh man.. my kids were the reason for the dog movie and then Hollow Man II I don't know what I was thinking. Or what I wasn't thinking. It was bad.

Ohhhh, Grace Kelly. She was so dreamy in REAR WINDOW, maybe that's just me, but I thought so. Love that film.

I love Rear Window. It's one of those movies that just fills the potential, leaving you satisfied at the end. It's so sneaky and pulls a bunch of stuff on you, one the reason I love it so much.

I like Rear Window. It's one of my favorite Hitchcock films. The other two I could have told you to stay away from by looking at the titles. LOL! I'm not closed minded as all of that but those films seem not to all that great. LOL! Great reviews as always.

Vince Vaughn

the first Hollowman was hardly a classic as it was, so why the need for a sequel, does anyone actually remember those days when Christian Slater use to be a good actor?

hmmm let me think back to when he used to be a good actor? hmmm maybe back when he did gleaming the cube.. that's it. But you know theres just something about him that I like. I guess I could lump him into the catagory with Vin Disel.. looks good but don't talk. :D

Karate Dog?!? Hee.

Wait a minute... Jaime Pressly's in this? Oh, well, she's been in worse (Ringmaster).

Oh, and Peter Facinelli is hot.

yep she has, but Karate dog might well rank in the same class as Ringmaster.

And Facinelli,, I can so agree with you on that one. :D
