Critics: Check Top Critics: N/A Community: Check Friends: N/A Favorites: N/A Posted on 2/5/09 at 2:35 PM Fantastic film. It is considered a war film, but there aren't any battles, in fact, it is about a man who knows he cannot control the destruction of war, but tries to make a difference in his little corner of the world. It kind of reminds me of Schindler's List, but I found this to be more involving for whatever reason. The film depicts the horrors of war, as well as the downfalls and triumphs of acting humanely during a time of war. I was able to get this film through my university library, so if you can't find a copy, I would start there. I would add this to the list, but I want to wait and see the other parts first. I may include them as one entry if they are good enough. I almost always shy away from long movies, but realizing that I have to watch these films before I graduate (because I will no longer have access to the library) makes it easier to undertake this 9 hour monster.
