Not as bad as I thought it would be, in spite of an awful first act. The third act, placed in a spooky, abandoned military base, was actually well-paced and somewhat intense. Overall, there's not much here.
If Gene Hackman tells you to start climbing, you start climbing. Every actor takes this film seriously enough to make it work. The production design, stuntwork, and photography are first rate.
