Wow. That is what everyone said walking out of the theater. Wow. Amazing special effects, especially on a budget 1/10th the size of Spider-Man 3, pretty good acting, and a great script. Cloverfield had all of these working for it, and used them to almost their full potential. Everything felt real, authentic, and like you were going on a roller coaster for an hour after being in a party for 20-something Manhattenites. It was exhilirating, and once it got going, it didn't stop. While many people will be dissapointed with the origin (or lack thereof) of the monster, the effects and sheer adreneline will make up for it. And despite a rather quick ending (which makes sense, given that it takes about a second to turn a camera off), it delivers at a level that I would pay $10 to see it again, the next showing. And I did. And I only have one thing to say about that. Wow.
