I adored the first film in the Narnia franchise and I was anxious that the second one would live upto my high expectations.I wasnt disappointed. I still think the first will stay dearer in my heart due to the wonderful performances of Skandar Keynes as Edmund and Georgie Henley as Lucy but nevertheless Adamson has turned in an excellent action film - you could nearly call it a war movie. The focus on this time is the relationship between Caspian and Peter and while they turn in good performances I would rather have seen Edmund and Lucy take more of a centre stage and have their roles developed more as they are such naturally good actors and bring a magic quality to the films. Hopefully in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader Micahel Apted will heed some of the concerns from reviewers and focus a little more on character develpment and less on action.
