Though the film was predictable and, at times, a little boring, it was better than I expected. You do feel for the characters and you might find yourself torn with what side you would be on. I would have liked a little bit more action but I enjoyed it overall.
This is easily Anderson's best film though it's not saying much. It had it's moments but I expected so much more out of it. The stop motion just seemed off. The character designs never seemed quite right. It just felt like something was missing.
This film definitely works best when they concentrate on the tons of ninja action. This is a story here but it's about what you'd expect from a film like this. It's not really a great film in any way but it's really enjoyable.
