Fresh! RT Launches its Comic Book Movies list!

This is one of my favorite lists of what we've done so far! Check it out and let us know your thoughts in this thread:

As a Mod/Admin, can you edit the title of the thread to take out the incorrect and superfluous apostrophe?

Love the list. The movie that lands the #1 spot is extremely deserving. That'd be my #1 pick as well.

Another great thing about this list is that it draws my attention to films that I had no clue were based on comic books. It's got me interested in seeing some hidden gems that I've managed to miss.

The Spiderman films do not deserve to be higher than Superman. As far as teh characters go, I'm much more of a Spidey fan, but Donner's Superman was a huge achievement and defined comic movies.

*sigh* The first Spider-Man doesn't belong in the top 5. It would probably top out around 10 for me.

Superman Returns ranks higher than Superman II?!?

I don't care about the finger-lasers, the big "S" forcefield, or the kiss of forgetfulness.... THE HELL YOU SAY!

The reviews for SR are pretty generous to say the least....even though I do like it.

Yeah, SR would have been more tolerable if some logical thought had gone into the ridiculous "New Krypton" scheme and if Superman Jr. had been eliminated from the story.

Damn, you're implying that the New Krypton scheme is illogical...here comes R Beard to slag Spidey 3.

I'm thinking that they might end up being equal in my books when it's all said and done. I'll know for sure tonight.

id say this list definitely isnt based off the comics themselves, and is very far from accurate imo

Thumbs up

The list misses the original (australian) The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren. Maybe it is a little dated, but easily beat the hollywood version. A real '80s action flick, that deserves to be on the list!

What's up with the banners? A photoshop of Elisha Cuthbert as Supergirl? A reversed Superman pic where the S symbol is backwards?

Elektra?

The placement is surprising but I'll hardly blame you guys for simply compiling what the critics thoughts are... hopefully some critics see the list though and re-think some of their stances based on what they've done, lol. It's a fun list and I'm glad it exists because it made it easy for me to compile my own list of the top 30 comic book films... or top 20 with 10 honorable nods... I'll do it when I finish the comedy show one.
